  1. You simply can't sign Newton as a backup QB if you're the Panthers. It'd be a circus.
  2. No chance, they've got him inked in as a starting S.
  3. Jeez, enough with the awful Temple / Baylor jokes.
  4. Literally crushed back-to-back drafts, but
  5. Absolutely not. Fletcher is going to the PS if they can't trade him is my bet.
  6. I wouldn't be surprised if we do pick up one of those QBs that have been cut - need to get them on the waiver wire first though before you cut both of your backup QBs.
  7. Honestly if Tepper's evaluation of his HC / GM rests on their ability to find a franchise QB then he's a moronic owner who has no business owning a team. What you want to see if the team improving year on year. We've added quality starters / depth to the 2020 squad and lost nothing in FA. Let's see where that leads us in 2021. IF Darnold fails then we simply go again at QB next year - they won't rest on their laurels until they find a guy capable of leading this team.
  8. Does Trey Smith know you're in love with him?
  9. Firstly Kirkwood and Tecklenburg are gone. Secondly, besides Whitehead, which Temple / Baylor player has let us down so far?
  10. Before anyone flips out with the whole 'TemBay bros' nonsense, let's see if Grier is picked up by anyone else to sit on their active roster. I suspect he won't be.
  11. I'm not a fan of moving C to G. You see it with Elflein - he's too small (but he's excellent at combo blocks).
  12. A traffic cone is an upgrade over Paradis.
  13. One thing Rhule talks about is keeping the best 53 players on the roster. So it might be all 9 and carry 1 less LB. I haven't roster-baited in a long time though so I'm just spitballing here. In the modern NFL you're in Nickel a lot of the time anyway - and we know they love to play 3 S.
  14. He has one inaccurate throw, otherwise he sliced and diced those 2nd and 3rd stringers. But then he could have put up a perfect QB rating, scoring on every drive, and you'd still find fault. Let the season play out - and let's hope you're wrong.
  15. What else can they do? Can't stash him on IR as he's not injured. Can't cut him as then you can't trade him. Isn't technically suspended by the NFL yet either I don't believe. They're in a tough bind.
  16. We got Draft picks for Little, who has proven he can't play in this league, and Perryman, who ANYONE could have signed as a FA. Don't doubt for a minute that Fitterer is on the phones trying to trade people up until 9pm (my time) tomorrow.
  17. Don't they quite like Fox inside on obvious passing downs? That leaves you with Haynes, Burns YGM and Johnson at DE in a 4-3 base. Haynes, Burns and Reddick (and maybe Luvu) if you stand them up at OLB and play 3 DL.
  18. He's been playing with the second and third stringers - I assume to just give him as many reps as possible. He's too talented to trade away this early. I also think he contributed last year - we've just reinforced the position in the offseason.
  19. I had to poo that for the pure disrespect to the greatest college programme in history. Perryman was traded because he literally didn't practice all TC and he made the team liable for forfeits if a COVID outbreak occurred because he refused to be vaccinated. He quickly turned himself into a problem player - which is baffling because he never has been before. Rhule clearly values STs greatly - I hope we can find ourselves a worthwhile K/PR as currently we don't have anyone dynamic on the roster. He's determined not to give up those hidden yards though.
  20. I would always carry 3 QBs. Unfortunately this year we have a clear starter and 2 guys that will lose you games if they have to play. It's got to be on Fitterer and Rhule's list of things to fix next year.
  21. He's a better C than Paradis, play him there. He's too small to play LG imo.
  22. Out of interest, do you ever have anything positive to say about this team?
  23. He's active and he's athletic which is more than half the battle. With how weak or LB corps is he's a welcome addition to the roster.
  24. We seem to be running out of ammunition for my predicted LG / LB trades. I wonder if we're actively trying to trade some of the guys we're about to cut. I'd be on the phone to Detroit about their WR situation if I was Fitterer. David Moore looks mighty tempting right about now.
