  1. Where the fug has this narrative come from?!?!?!?!!?
  2. They already evidently didn't have a great deal of trust in him when they punted from the 33. He signed his own release papers when he missed the XP. Shoulda signed Borregales from the Tampa Bay PS.
  3. Maybe they're working out the exchange rate of BitCoin.
  4. This is not a stubborn staff, I think they'll quickly adjust and switch him to SS. Chinn was DROY (miss me with the Young nonsense) when he was playing as a Striker (that's what it's called in the Hurricanes system - a LB / S hybrid). I don't think covering WRs 30 yards downfield is the best use of his talents.
  5. Slater also sat out a year and declined an invite to the Senior Bowl. It is what it is - I'm very happy with the Horn pick. He's a big, physical, fast CB to put on the opposition's big, physical and fast #1 WR. When you're trying to improve your pass defence that's a godsend.
  6. It's the system. Remember every Saints game where Drew Brees 'padded' stats and dinked and dunked his way downfield against us? How frustrating that was and how some fans bitched because he wasn't playing hero ball like our QB so all those TDs didn't count? Yeah, that's what Rhule and Brady are trying to do here. They're drilling into him to play within the system - take what the defence gives you and stop playing hero ball. Use those quick throws to loosen up the deep ball - as we saw with the Anderson TD. Brady was more aggressive at LSU because he had multiple first rounders at the skill positions - so you CAN throw those one on one matchups and win them 90% of the time.
  7. You saw Wilson get sacked 6 times and generally get pummeled, right? For all the hype the talking heads are giving Wilson right now, that isn't sustainable. He'll be broken by midseason if he takes that kind of punishment every game.
  8. I'd rather not give them the clicks. I didn't form any opinion about Mosley based on that game, besides the fact that he couldn't cover McCaffrey at all on those 'wide open dump offs', but then there's only a handful of LBs in the league that can. PFF is a tool, albeit it's a very poor tool.
  9. This is why I'm always about filling holes in FA and drafting BPA in the Draft. To me there's nothing worse (besides a complete bust) than looking back at a Draft and thinking "Man, Jonathan Stewart was good, but we could have had Calais Campbell" (or DeSean Jackson or Duane Brown or... you get the idea). It's also why we've had a few misfires in FA under Rhule - we brought in a low priced FA, only for a better player to be available at his position in the Draft. YGM and Weatherly being the prime example.
  10. Did Mosley get a negative grade then, cos McCaffrey broke his ankles on a few of those dump offs.
  11. You need as many good CBs as you can get your hands on. They'd be cray not to offer him a new deal.
  12. That's the RBs job on passing downs... its why they don't trust Hubbard atm.
  13. Look at the size difference between the two (there's a pic of them at midfield after the game). Darnold is a tank. Wilson can't physically take the beating Darnold did.
  14. Look, if Orlando Pace walks through that door that's one thing. If an average athlete with good technique walks through that door it's another. Slater is that guy. Nice piece, but not a cornerstone. But again I'm in the minority here.
  15. Its a passing league. You need 4 good CBs these days or you get abused. You can scheme around a LT - as evidenced by the Panthers the last two years.
  16. No we don't. We have to draft BPA, again. I also don't agree that LT is higher value than CB.
  17. He had a TFL on that 4th down play and obviously shared a sack here. He's not Burns, but he's a very nice piece.
  18. Yeah they've gone for the safe pair of hands back there - someone that's not going to muff the punt / will fair catch it when appropriate and can sneak 10 yards or so. He's not a dynamic returner at all, but I guess those are hard to find. Lord knows they've been looking for one!
  19. Exactly. He had time to set himself and step into that throw and it's still a 45 yard rainbow. Darnold's was a 50 yard, off platform, throw that was all arm. Bridgewater can't make that throw - he also wouldn't - you saw how hesitant he was to throw it with Anderson WIDE open. He had to gather himself and put everything he had into it. For reference:
  20. He lost his role to Hartsfield, basically.
