I'm not willing to give up on Darnold until he's got an OLine in front of him. As I constantly reference, Romo (commented on our last game of the season) said that no QB had a chance behind that OLine. I'd take his assessment over anyone on here. Also, once you give up 3 first round picks and 2 defensive starters on rookie deals our team would no longer be better than theirs.

But I'm told he's a franchise QB. Top 5 in the league. Would lead us to greatness. Why is it ok for the Panthers to gut their team to acquire him, but it's questionable for the Falcons to do so? Ryan will retire very soon, so that's not really an argument.

Look at his supporting cast. Now compare it to Bridgewater / Darnold's supporting cast. (hint they have a first round pick at TE they've just franchise tagged who they've barely used for 4 years). I've stopped being amazed at the naivety of fans on here. It's always much deeper than "it's the QB's fault".

He just won a Super Bowl, is in his physical prime and signed on Day 1 of FA. I can't imagine it'll be for a cheap deal.

Address the OLine with the first round Draft pick. Continue to address the OLine in Free Agency. Bring in FA competition for Darnold - if Minshew is a FA he'd be at the top of my list.

I'd give them a conditional 7th round pick.
