I think you're underestimating how bad the D is this year. The Saints marched up and down the field on us at will - you've got Carr freakin' clowning Horn mid-game about how many TDs he's thrown. We'd be much more competitive in games with MVP season Newton at QB, but we'd still lose almost all of them.

The defence is boned now. I think Evero is a very talented DC, but he's just lost his best player for the season - one who plays a pivotal position. The Chargers will run on us at will today - as will everyone else.

The only problem with that approach is that the NFL has changed. The last couple of Drafts any QB with a pulse has been taken early. I mean Bo Freakin Nix was taken with a Top 10 pick last year. Teams are DESPERATE for QBs.

It doesn't matter if the NFL is mad, they can't do anything about it. I doubt the other owners are going to vote Tepper out for fielding a terrible football team - that opens a can of worms they want to remain closed.

Our HC is a first year OC whose mentor never let call plays and the Assistant GM to our worst GM ever. I'd say he's already got that reputation.

The crazy thing is he was the consensus #1 in the media frenzy leading up to the Draft. I thought I was taking crazy pills. Everything he struggles with now was all over his film - weak arm, small, slow, couldn't see the middle of the field. To me you pass on him for a more 'traditionally sized' QB and just hold your hands up if he lives up to the unsustainable hype. Instead we tried to be the smartest man in the room and went against all convention.

I did the opposite when we lost to Arizona a couple of years ago. Still never forgiven the team for it.

Defences don't scheme against him - he can't complete routine NFL throws. They just play their base packages and laugh.

He didn't sign off on the HC and GM hires, he INTERVIEWED them.

Tepper's meddling lead us to hire Canales and Morgan - D tier hires at best. He's also clearly instructed said D tier hires to double down on Young. So yes.

Brown is the only high dollar defensive player. This unit has been gutted and all of the resources invested in the offence (what we've paid those two OGs is obscene). There's very little NFL talent on that side of the ball this season.

If you take away all of the intangibles (Draft position, what we gave up for him etc) I suspect he'd look the worst out of all of the QBs in Panthers history on a practice field. Weinke, Walker et al could throw it. He's certainly the worst QB in Panthers history that's received an extended look. If he was a 3rd round pick he'd have been cut already.

Plummer isn't an NFL level QB either.
