  1. I missed Tuesday and Wednesday at the gym. Just that two day break seems to have put me like 3 weeks behind. Today was squat day, but "that guy" was at the gym. You know who I'm talking about... he does a set, then has like a 40 minute rest before his next set. Then hovers over the rack and doesn't let anyone else use it. I got tired of waiting and just skipped rope and rode a bike.
  2. ^ I'd pay to put it on a billboard an electronic billboard in times square
  3. I haven't seen a PF with free weights. The best I've seen is 40 lb. yoga bars. I don't remember if I've seen dumb bells or not.
  4. Doctors only keep a pregnant mother to-be grounded if she is a high-risk pregnancy (twins, hypertension, diabetic, etc)
  5. Remember Joe Jurevicious, the WR for the Bucs who had a career day in the NFCCG against the Eagles? Google why he doesn't wear his Superb Owl ring.
  6. Well it's about time. Doesn't every other cable company offer a minimum of 50 Mbps for the lowest tier?
  7. I've worn headphones at times in the gym and found that the wires always got in the way. I've always assumed that people wore Beats because of the bluetooth capabilities, but idk. Now I'm used to working out without them at all. Other than stopping someone from injuring himself, I rarely worry about what others in the gym are doing. Tried straight leg deadlift today for the first time in ages. Bad decision... old man pains right now
  8. A year or so ago, front squats were my favorite lift. Somehow, doing them went by the wayside. Now whenever I try to incorporate them back into my routine, I cannot get the right grip. It took me forever to get the 3-finger grip in the first place, but now I've completely forgotten how to do it. I may go back to an overhand grip, but I don't feel aligned properly with that body posture.
  9. About the masks, conditioning in higher altitudes will increase your red blood count and make your body much more efficient at keeping oxygen flowing to the muscles (it is the basis for what ESPN calls blood doping - freeze your own blood during altitude training, inject during competition). But wearing the mask for an hour a day while you work out isn't going to do anything. To get the results you expect, you have to actually be in a high altitude area for weeks. Is it the beats that bother you, or headphones in general?
  10. sauna suits are out, altitude masks are in. (sorta, I haven't seen one in a few weeks now) surprised i haven't seen anyone drop dead with a heart attack yet.
  11. I've always considered squats to be more of a total body lift, or even a core exercise, than a leg lift. When I think "leg day," squats usually aren't on my agenda. With squats, yes you're mostly using quads, hamstrings, hip flexors, but you're working a whole lot of other muscles as well. If you do low squats, you work a whole lot of your trunk. The leg press is better for isolating your quads and is typically seen as superior than squats for quad development. Just depends on your personal goals. For whatever reason, I started doing leg press/curls/extensions and toe raises on the days I do incline and dumbbell flies. Not gonna lie...did 6 reps at 1108 and had to push my legs with my hands on the last two.
  12. If I tried to bounce that particular sled, my femur would be in my throat. I take it down as far as I can (my knees are maybe a few inches from my chest... well past my hips). I do more than a 3" range of motion with a toe raise. I agree leg press isn't really an important exercise. I hate lunges with a passion. I do them, but without any sort of enjoyment.
  13. Sled has a sticker saying it weighs 118 lbs. Eleven 45 lb plates on each side
