  1. found on reddit. should be a huddle meme
  2. I know some hockey players with huge calves who swear ice skating is the secret to big calves. But then again, NHL players tend to have bird legs.
  3. drink water until you pee clear. it's the only thing that can help after a grueling leg day.
  4. no, he's a legit gym rat, been in the gym since he could walk. he did steroid cycles in the past when he did competitions, been clean about 10 years or so now. nowhere near as big or as cut as he once was, but definitely does not have a meat n taters build.
  5. Well the guy I worked out with is a body builder with 20+ inch arms, so his workout is more along his goals of mass and power. I mean, he was doing 165 lb skull crushers on his second set. F that noise. The biggest thing I would have done differently is balance it a little more - that workout was a whole lot of isolation, which I'm not really used to doing. Usually if I do triceps, I will do biceps at the same time. My tris are a little sore today (and look huge right now, but that won't last another day) but my lats are incredibly stiff. Maybe do a light set of lat pulls to warm those up before doing this workout.
  6. I thought the whole workout being 48 reps of everything was excessive. I didn't go heavy... started with 20s, did two sets then went to 25s for two sets. I was pretty well spent after pull ups and dips.
  7. So today I worked out with a friend; did his workout. It was tri and thigh day for him. Everything superset: 4 x 12 neutral grip pull up & 4 x 12 hanging dips 4 x 12 skull crushers & 4 x 30 hammer curls 4 x 12 overhead tricep extension & 4 x 12 reverse curls (both on cable machine) then immediately we went to 8 rep pyramids, up and down twice, with reverse curls (again) and standing tricep push downs. yes, i know someone will come along and say that this workout isn't much. but this tricep workout, mind you, was after my own upper body workout yesterday and i posted that my right tricep felt like it was ripping itself off my humerus. just wanted to say i can't hang with that ish right now
  8. just start really light and get the form. I have never tried going heavy on front squat
  9. If I sit idle too long, my back starts acting like I'm an old man again. That's my biggest motivation to work out. I'm slowly coming around to doing more power lifting. Right now my right tri feels like it's going to rip itself off my humerus. But as I've transformed my workouts into more lifting than HIIT, I've gained about 15 lbs, which is opposite of what my original goals were. Sometimes I want to focus on my "mirror muscles" so I can walk around wearing my compression t's, but that really does not fit my goals.
  10. he probably wants to draw blood again in a few weeks to make sure your body can break it down and absorb it before hitting you with the 60,000 IU
  11. 5000 iu isn't prescription strength and will not provide that big of a boost
  12. I've been killing upper body lately. Yesterday I was so sore I didn't even attempt lifting. I just did some old high school basketball drills instead
  13. Yes, raw unprocessed fruits and vegetables do the same thing. But eat them, don't drink them. You will have to drink a lot of water to stay hydrated because typically you will be going to the bathroom much more often as your body adjusts.
  14. Cool. I finally made the trip up to see it on Friday.
