  1. I thought you said you weren't into unicorns. You really think the Panthers would give up their first pick for a player with two years left in his career? So with your top lip you claim that Rhule laid down the law to Teddy , and with your bottom lip you claim that Rhule was ready to throw away his first pick in the upcoming draft for a washed out 40 year old. Is he someone with credibility, or is he a desperate rookie throwing hail marys.
  2. Sad is believing that most Panther fans follow this forum. Delusion is believing that they agree with you.
  3. If Teddy was the only quarterback that missed throws and had receivers make plays for him, you would have a point. But for some one who claims to know Teddy as well as you say, you seem to have surrendered your independent frame of reference, in order to following this finicky crowd chasing unicorns. I'm guessing you just need to fit in. Maybe you could do better.
  4. Teddy is the quarterback of the Panthers, he's not Jesus. If the only thing available is two yards then that's what you do. If he throws it into coverage and it gets picked you would be crying about that. Question, who called the plays and sent in the personnel during that 0-8 stretch? How many opposing quarterbacks had career days during that stretch? How many running backs had 99 yard touchdown runs during that stretch? I'll be here all day. How many left tackles played during the 0-8.
  5. With this team, mediocre puts you in the hunt for team MVP. Your stats are irrelevant because Teddy didn't need to throw 20 touchdown passes to win. He needed an offensive line that could handle stunts and blitzes. Your problem is that you are impatient. You have visions of getting to a super bowl by giving away draft capitol and young talent for a quarterback who needs draft capitol and young talent in order to build a winning team. This is what teams like the Jets and the Browns do.
  6. So you expect Teddy to cover for a Rookie Play caller, a Rookie coach, a tissue thin defense, a patch work offensive line and a injured running back, with three smallish receivers and no tight end. Well he did, but the Einsteins here believe you can get blood out of an onion. Teddy squeezed as much as he could out of this lemon, but NFL coordinators will eventually take away what you do well, and in this case it was the three amigos that couldn't consistently beat the tight man to man. What I'm doing here is giving Teddy the same slack that you are giving Brady, Rhule, the o-line and the defense.
  7. If you don't give Teddy credit for the wins, why do you blame him for the losses? Are you two faced or something? So you are looking for a super hero to as you say drag this bag of bones called the Panther to a super bowl. Good luck with that. Here's a tip, when you go to find your hero, don't give up next years first cause it's going to be a good one. Yeah just like when your old lady's phone blows up after the bars close is just guys doing their due diligence.
  8. Brady gave the ball to a fullback on fourth down with the game on the line with CMC lined up right beside him. You want to get rid of Brady now? Someone must have learned a new word, and now they think it applies everywhere. A strawman is when you invent an unrelated subject and then argue against it. Telling you that the defense and offensive line, and not Teddy, are the problems with the Panthers, is not unrelated to the subject, which happens to be the reasons to replace Teddy Bridgewater.
  9. Everything you said about the Cardinals, Chargers and the Falcons rings true about the Panthers. As a matter of fact, the Cardinals and the Chargers were better teams with better records than the Panthers. The Panthers defense was where opposing quarterbacks got paid. In a five point Panther loss blamed on Teddy Bridgewater, The future hall of famer Drew Lock roasted the defense lead by Teddy himself for 4 touchdown passes and a 149 rating for the game. I guess Teddy's got to work on his cover skills. But what must really gnaw at you guys is the fact that in two more games in which the Panthers lost by one score Teddy couldn't force the Chiefs or the Saints to punt not one time. I guess Teddy has to work on his tackling too. I kind of see now why Teddy unfollowed the Panthers. I believe that he's telling whoever's running their mouth about finding a super bowl quarterback to get busy. Other teams must have heard the message too thus the phone calls. Answer the phone Panthers.
  10. Who believes this bunch would give Teddy credit for wins. You didn't give him credit for winning with the Saints. Nor with the Vikings. If Teddy Bridgewater can win everywhere else except with the Panthers, then that means that the Panthers are the problem.
  11. Well he's not off of the roster yet, and I think he's got better things to do than to defend his position with this team to these fair weather fans. You could cut him tomorrow, and this team would be in worse shape no matter what you do , and he'd have another job by Monday.
  12. Why do I have to be Teddy? Can it be that your echo chamber is so small that you cant conceive that anyone can articulate support for Teddy Bridgewater? Teddy doesn't have time for you. He's more than likely somewhere working on ways to beat what Tampa Bay, and New Orleans will be throwing at him next year.
  13. You folks act like the next guy you get is not going to have missed plays and bad games. I personally can't wait until you actually get the quarterback that you deserve.
  14. What strawmen? Are you saying that the defense and offensive line are just fine and that the quarterback is the problem. Or you just want another quarterback, and to hell with everything else.
  15. Yeah they saying a lot with all these trade offers they are getting. Hell go ahead and get the risk it biscuit guy, he's out there.
  16. If you think blaming Teddy for that 0-8 situation makes you feel better, have at it. You are just setting yourself up for disappointment with your fixation on Teddy, who is more of the solution than the problem. If you insist on going down this reckless path of giving up assets for someone who can't help you, what's your solution for the defense and offensive line?
  17. Agreed. There was no running game to speak of. All he had was the short passing game with smallish receivers.
  18. All I know is this. No one is blaming the coaches or the defense for the Panther's problems. But they will be here when you get your savior. You all bragged about three receivers getting grand numbers, and you think that Brady did it. You also think that Teddy sacks himself, and throws short high percentage passes as though the revolving door at left tackle doesn't matter. This is a very ungrateful group here. Teddy kept you relevant in at least 12 of the 16 games with a sucky defense, a sucky offensive line, a rookie head coach, and a rookie offensive coordinator. In spite of all of the suck around him, Teddy was competitive, he had positive numbers, and the next pick six he throws will be his first.
  19. It's what you want to do. You want style over substance. Teddy Bridgewater is not the worst quarterback in the league. As a matter of fact Teddy went from the top of the league in some categories to the middle. To want to blow up the team just to get rid of a player that only have two years left smells personal or just plain dumb.
  20. Why is the answer to your problem is to cripple the teams future in the hopes of finding the next Mahomes.
  21. In Minnesota, and in New Orleans, Teddy won. What happened here?
  22. Your problem is that someone told you about that 0-8, and you think it's a bible verse. What makes you think that any other quarterback will have the Panthers in those competitive situations. Some of you are willing to pay a kings ransom in an attempt to upgrade the quarterback position. If Teddy was so bad, why would it take so much to get better than him?
