This is a win win situation. Yall need to stop trippin
Agent Blue replied to Agent Blue's topic in Carolina Panthers
bruh, to trade up teams are mostly interested in 1st round picks. this trade will not stop us from moving up in next years draft if we want to. -

He is cheap and we didn't give up the farm to get him. So, while not ideal, not the end of the world. -
If Sam turns out good, he was a steal. If Sam sucks balls, then we get a high draft pick next year to use of a QB. We don't have to take a QB this year at 8. Although, Sam's contract doesn't stop us if say Fields falls. We can finally draft a good LT (Sewell or Slater). Would have preferred that 2nd to be a 3rd, but Sam is still young with all the physical tools. So I can see how they might not want to let him go for just a 3rd.

if darnold plays like he has in ny, we are assured a top 3 pick lol

Naw, pass catchers isn't our problem. We will draft sewell or slater if we stay at 8

Plan is simple. Keep trying until you succeed. Teddy - Played well for Saints. Short contract. Darnold - Young. Lot's of natural talent. Low risk, high reward. Still a chance we draft Fields in the draft if he is there. If Darnold sucks ass next year we will be in a prime spot to pick up a QB in 2022.

well this is a terrible pick Two-Round 2021 NFL Mock Draft: Jets replace Sam Darnold in Round 1 QB frenzy; Bears, Steelers get Round 2 QBs - CBSSports.com

I am alright with this. It's not terrible. It's not great. Had it been a 3rd next year vs the 2nd now that would be much better. Low risk, high reward deal. We can draft OL this year. If Sam turns out good, its a big win for us. If Sam sucks, then we will be in a prime spot to draft a good QB next year. Which will pretty much determine Rhule's future in Carolina imo. Win win situation imo. Go big or go home.

Bucky Brooks won't be sucked into Mac's meteoric rise

Low int numbers. Feels pressure and avoids sacks. Advanced reads ie more than screens, rpo's and deep bombs. Throwing with anticipation / throwing wr's open. etc etc -

No QB is a sure thing. Good a chance as any that TW flops. It's just some players I feel more comfortable with than others. I feel much better about fields than lance. Justin Fields being judged unfairly leading up to 2021 NFL Draft (withthefirstpick.com) Fields threw the least amount of RPOs and was the most accurate passer in the draft. (ball placement not simply compl %) -

I am stating facts. His coaches didn't rely on him slanging the ball around the field. 174 ypg is pretty paltry for a QB that is slated to go very high in the draft. Most his plays were runs and deep balls. Not much mid range stuff. Combine that with the competition and it will have many people raising eyebrows. This dude is a big boom or bust player. Many question marks. He could turn out to be awesome or find himself on the bench within 2 years. -

Where in my post did I say "can't throw"? Learn to read. Stats are there for all to see. He barely threw the ball much each game. Most of his plays were runs or throws deep. His competition was not good and he was on a stacked team for said division. He is risky AF to draft. Basically looks like a poor man's Cam Newton. -
The deep routes (go/fade for example) are the lowest % pass in football. You only throw it a few times a game to mainly keep the D honest and if a WR gets naked on a double move or slip. The meat and potatoes of an O is going to be short and medium. Generally speaking, you shouldn't need to extend plays if your QB is able to make great pre snap reads and make correct hot reads vs the blitz. You want to get the ball out quick to the correct WR/RB attacking the weak area / optimal matchup. Most the NFL champs have been non mobile QBs. I'd be fine with Fields though. Lance scares me alot. Id be fine with Jones but he will be gone. Mond scares me some. Mills seems like good value/potential in the 2nd or 3rd. My Plan 1A: Fields 2A: Sewell 1B: Slater Then get QB/CB/OT in the 2nd and 3rd depending on the 1st.

Houston police opening investigation on Deshaun Watson
Agent Blue replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
What is there to cope with? I could go to the police station and say you did xyz and they would have to open an investigation on you. DW is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Period. End of discussion. -
I am thankful cam took us to a superbowl and generally played hard (minus the dive in superbowl). But, the dude was inconsistent AF and had a poor reaction when things didn't go well, which was like half the time in Char. I am against drafting running QBs. I want a super accurate, super cerebral QB above all.
-
So I guess I was dreaming with all those over throws, under throws, ints, taking sacks, average completion %, not diving on balls during the superbowl, pouting like baby when things werent going well. Ok lol

Bruh, Cam could be standing alone in nothing but undies and throw a ball over a dudes head lol Lance's coaches barely asked him to do anything. They only called passing plays for him a few times a game. Lance either took off and ran or throw the ball deep. Was not alot of mid range throws. Fields on the other hand, someone could make a case for. Not Lance. -

Someone needs to remind ol bucky that the most important traits for a QB are IQ and accuracy. Of which you could say Mac is tops in the draft. -
Sewell - CB/DL - QB Mills would be mint for me
-
assuming you have decent height and weight, being a good OT is mostly about feet, hand use and awareness.

didnt slater shut down young?

Cant wait to bump this thread when in short order DW is playing for a new team and no one even mentions or care about this ordeal. Can't trade the farm right now, just in case things get serious. But I would without question give up a 1st. Reward well outweighs the risk.
