Relative Athletic Score for all drafted players
Agent Blue replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
he was fat and out of shape. that is why didn't play well at senior bowl and nearly went undrafted. if he was 320 pounds he would have been a 1st-2nd round pick -
Brady Christensen vs Bucs 1st rd pick Joe Tryon
Agent Blue replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
My thoughts on Brady Strengths - athletic AF - good feet - good IQ Weaknesses - needs to improve his hands use (specifically, chopping DE's hands/arms) - needs to anchor faster (he regularly gets pushed back) - needs to get meaner (doesn't look for work or always try to burry dudes) -

how is it possible to be that unathletic ? -

Round 6 (A) Deonte Brown - G - Alabama
Agent Blue replied to Jackofalltrades's topic in Carolina Panthers
dude was fat AF at senior bowl. of course he aint going to be able to block poo being in such terrible shape. he needs to drop down to 320-330 -
you are allowed to talk to draft prospects. fletcher thought rhule was talking about undrafted fa, as he was def not expecting to be drafted in the 6th
-
don't care if they wanted him or not. dude was top 5 to 10 in every pre draft IOL rankings. was a steal in the 6th for the team that got him.
-
naw, you can get a sufficient LS in undrafted FA we passed up one of the best IOL prospects in Trey Smith for a LS when our OL needs improvement
-
lol who the fug drafts a LS in the 6th over Trey Smith. he couldn't believe it

Surprising not a ton different. Very good draft from Rhule and Fitts 1st (8) CB Jaycee Horn 2nd (59) WR Terrace Marshal Jr 3rd (70) OT Brady Christensen 3rd (83) IOL Quinn Meinerz 4th (126) DT Daviyon Nixon 5th (158) OT Tommy Doyle 5th (166) CB Keith Taylor 6th (204) IOL Deonte Brown 6th (222) IOL Trey Smith 7th (232) DT Phil Hoskins

Any QB that is projected to go in the top 5/10 picks is considered an elite college QB. What you talking about? I was for not drafting Fields or Jones. I want to see what Sam can do with Rhule and Brady. Sam has a crap load of potential.

cute

If what my coach is telling me to do isn't working after 1 half, I am going to start doing what I feel is best for me and my offense come the 2nd half. A QB has to be able to make audibles, change protections, set hot reads, change progressions etc etc.
-
you missing the point. it's not just missing on a high draft pick. it's we need a franchise QB. there were two elite level QBs on the board and we passed over them. that is a kind of move that will get GMs and coaches fired if what they choose to roll with at QB doesn't pan out and those skipped over players become elite.
-
you can miss on any round if you are winning titles. had Bill consistently missed on rounds 1 and 2 and didn't win, he would be fired.
-
I am about wanting my team to win titles. I could care less what others think. Mac and Fields played elite in college. If you pass on them and your QB flames out, that is GM/Coach firing material usually. I actually wanted us to pass on them. I want to see what Sam can do. But doesn't change the fact that its going to be bad news if that plays out like that.
-
a pre draft grade goes out the window once a guy plays. sam could have had a perfect grade, but he has played like pure butt cheeks since being in the NFL. we talking dead last or near dead last on all QB stats. he has the talent and potential. but he hasn't come close to utilizing it much less maximizing it
-
those misses are acceptable as its a roll of the dice on day 3. you can't miss on day 1.
-
brady was not thought of as an elite qb coming in the draft. apples to oranges.
-
its not just missing out. it's a big miss. Obvious miss. for example, no one could blame us for taking Cam in 2011, regardless if he sucked and another QB turned out awesome.
-
1. Fields becomes a franchise QB with Sam flaming out 2. Jones becomes a franchise QB with Sam flaming out 3. Suritan becoming an elite CB and Horn flaming out 4. Slater becoming an elite LT and Christensen flaming out Could keep going but these are the main ones

is there any good OT with 32 inch arms? can't seem to find any. seems like 33 in the lowest https://www.milehighreport.com/2021/4/21/22395856/can-you-be-an-above-average-offensive-tackle-in-the-nfl-with-short-arms
