    It comes down to the fact that the this team has the second highest points total in the league over the last two seasons, taking close to 74% of available points..... oh and the fewest goals allowed.

    We will have to choose between him and Nino, should be noted Jarvis is a natural C as well.... I love Trockeck but with talents like Drury ready to come up with no likely drop-off it wouldn't be a good long term move unfortunately.

    The Canes have been excellent at scouting and developing talent the past 5-6 years.... Let's not forget before our affiliate changed to Chicago the Checkers won the Calder Cup.... The Checkers/Wolves are really just the "Future Hurricanes"

    He was killing it when he was up with the Canes too, And don't look now but the Hurricanes just signed Alexander Pashin to his ELC (a guy who we nabbed with a 7th round flier with top 5 talent and fell because he wasn't expected to move over from the KHL) he's a Russian Erik Cole (pre neck break).

    Florida is older than us too, Not to mention the Canes pipeline is stacked...... All of our core skaters are still under 26..... We have two goalies with elite level skills in the pipeline, Staals eventual replacement in Drury, Ryan Suzuki, Keane ect. This team isn't going anywhere for a long time...

    I got scoffed at repeatedly in the FB group and some here for telling people Jarvis would not only make the roster but be a heck of a player.

    Both lack depth too... If we can hold the fort vs Boston round two will be a softer matchup IMO.

    Pitt/NYR/FL are all pretenders.... Nashville just has no business even being in the playoffs without Saros.

    Neither of these teams are impressive tbh.. Even up 1-0 I think if we handle our business with the Bruins that our round two opponents will make for an easier out.... The canes are 48-20 in regulation counting yesterday.... and just 7-8 in "regular season OT" Playoff OT is 5v5 until you have a winner not 3v3 followed by exchanging penalty shots.

    That team is all Saros... They are wishing the NHL had a mercy rule.... for the series right about now! Colorado is a great team but the Predators are a lottery team without him.

    FL surrendered home ice to them already..... I'm torn on who I want to pull for if we handle our business in round one and they are knocked out we are guarenteed home ice until the finals.

    I dislike Florida but I HATE WASHINGTON.... Florida is mostly a high flying goon squad with no mental toughness Washington is a team whose goal is to permanently injure people.
