  1. The irrational desire to move Necas was overblown he's a natural C and if he's any good at the dot I could easily see him taking the 2C spot and putting up 70+ points.
  2. Old school? Todd Gurley had 3 ACL repairs by the time he was drafted (two in college one in HS) He was drafted #10 at the time when he was a top 5 talent because teams knew his shelf life wouldn't be long.... what an example lol. Reference point.... here are some RBs who had their best season at 26.... Marshal Faulk (much better CMC comparison) LaDainian Tomlinson, David Johnson... ect not to mention Priest Holmes whose age 30 season was insane. Using guys who have had 4+ major injuries is a bad example. Edit addition it's a thread about fantasy players why are you in here arguing about his contract and our offensive line in the PAST?
  3. Oof I'd let Saquan go he hasn't been close to the same since the ACL tear and ankle injuries.... I tend to look at injury severity and he hadn't had the burst or explosion he had before.
  4. Blitz pickup is typically somthing you acredit to the C or the QB whoever is making the line calls, not to mention sacks aren't a great indicator of how an OT is performing overall if you allow pressure on 40% of the snaps and surrender no sacks you are playing like sh*t despite it not showing up on a stat sheet. I expected Ickey to start as well but again it's a week into TC far from the end of the world, if you do some digging on Ickey his one negative was that he needs to refine his PB technique.... Campen is a very good line coach I trust Ickey will be a top 5 tackle in the next season or two. Also Christenson played four positions on the line last year due to the constant new line of the week scheme he gave up 1 sack in the last four weeks at LT.
  5. Curious, most offensive linemen aren't pop off the screen impressive.... your level of anxiety over this is way too much.... Yes Rhule is probably an idiot at this point but it's a week into camp relax. Pass protection for an offensive tackle isn't about if you are going to lose..... it's about losing slowly.
  6. It's teeeeh huddle this place has become dumber by the year since 2004 lol.
  7. As much as people complain, these minor injuries that cost CMC the last two years are probably good for his longevity we weren't going to win anything and he would have racked up anther 600 touches.... If we had been in contention I don't think he sits most of last season. 26 is usually a running backs peak.... Healthy CMC *knocks on wood* He's gonna lead the NFL in fantasy points.
  8. Pretty much my exact view... Ickeys floor is widely regarded as "Day 1 all pro guard" Ickey is our future at LT even Christenson playing even as say the #15-17 rated LT this season isn't going to change that his ceiling is probably as a great technique pass blocking LT and below average run blocker. But if they both play well he would be a great asset to trade.
  9. Only difference is Panthers and Falcons fans are pessimistic to an insane degree (some valid points) While saints fans are living in a land of delusion.
  10. Look at is this way if Christensen is serviceable Christenson-Icky-Bozeman-Corbett-Moton is a massive upgrade and from LG to RT absolutely road grading as well.
  11. Ickeys a much better athletic prospect by all accounts..... Gross was athleticly limited and made up for it with technique... Ickey definatly has the same acumen to refine his by all accounts.... If he stays healthy I have no doubt he will be the best Lt in panthers history. He's absolutely one of the best 5 and imo would be a top 5 guard day on one... to me it's really just it Christenson can be a middle of the road LT this season it probably makes our line better this year to plug him in at LG.
  12. I'll never understand his mindset the owner doesn't play on the field... Stressing things completly beyond your own control are silly. Root for the team we can field or don't.
  13. This is as I assumed.... OP you assumed a player appealed suspension is the same as the the leauge.
  14. Ickey is the LT of the future for sure, I just want the best five on the field no matter what if Christensen is playing at a top 15 NFL left tackle level this season let Ickey play LG he's a day one all pro Guard imo (his future is LT though) Ickey-Bozeman-Corbet would make the inside ground game nasty. It all depends on how Christenson plays in games IMO the expection with ickey was he needed to refine his pass blocking technique.
  15. ^^^^ Pretty sure the Browns would clamp on that and advise him to sit a RB isn't the same as a QB and delaying your suspension until the playoffs wouldn't be smart.
  16. When the OP isn't bright enough to realize the appeal is to make the suspension LONGER lol.
  17. Only four teams last season gave up less than 100 a game on the ground.... and they were all even worse agaist the pass.... The entire nfl is geared to stop the pass not the run....
  18. No and I'm gonna be honest this is a silly question.
  19. oooof that has to be a first... But that's pretty damning evidence that the dude doesn't study the game plan/Play book.
  20. If ten years is short sure.... Not really a comparison though seeing as Kearse came into the NFL maxed out in size and only six months younger than Burns currently is.
  21. Everything I've seen from the Canes moves and moved they have attempted says they are making a push for the cup this season. MaxPac has one of the highest conversion rates in the leauge it wouldn't shock me to see him on line one Pac/Aho/Jarvis it also wouldn't shock me to see Jarvis move back to his natural C position and have Svech/Jarvis/Necas produce heavily as line 2. Our PP should be much better already this season already.
  22. If you get a third party involved you can have the OG absorb 50% and the third party absorb another 50% see some of TBs rentals.
  23. The Blackhawks are far from contention he is anther with 1 year remaining, I'd say witht them retaining 75% of his contract it wouldn't be as much as you think.
  24. Very much an all in for a cup approach it would appear this season.... Wouldn't be shocked to see us acquire Kane.
