He was playing purely reactionary. I had a stomach wrenching feeling Raanta would cost us if Freddie didn't return, ever since the early season Blackhawks game he scared the f out of me.

We lost several games on the road were we scored 2-3 goals.... If he's healthy we make at least the CF.... hands down. Jarvis doesn't strike me as the type to have a sophomore slump... too skilled too driven. Burns brings back the Cannon shot from the point and in our system is probably good for 65+ points and 15 goals.... the guys an Ironman. Patches is the go too scorer everyone wanted. I know you were on the Raanta bandwagon hard but his horrible road play and soft goals in clutch moments killed us.

He also can't look off his reads and generally goes to his first.... Baker gets through his and comes back.... His mistakes come from playing aggressively I'll take that over passive and staring down WRs.

I kind of feel the opposite look at the recent SB champions 50m is the new 20m... The Cheifs and the Seahawks are the only teams in the last 15 years to win a SB with a QB on a rookie deal.... the eagles did somehow manage to win the SB Foles starting. You have 25m a year WRs now.... I think going forward these teams handing out 50m QB contracts will regret it though.

We have entered the era of NFL super teams being made in FA/trade.... Bills are gonna be the next IMO.... Bucs and Rams used it to take the last two SBs getting elite level "mercenary" players in their early 30s.

Still can't believe he was drafted that high but then again the Jets.... He's a much crappier version of Jeff Otah.... (who was listed at 335 but played at like 350 and showed up to camp at like 380).

Baker is at least a starting quality QB in the NFL.... Darnold isn't even a mid level back up.

I agree with this completly, If I'm not mistaken we would have only needed 8 points after the all star break to make the playoffs... The Canes are an early season machine the last two years and Rod runs the wheels off.... Momentum isn't what people think it is in hockey its about health.. and since the 2020 we have are top 3 in wins and points.... the last two years we had the playoffs locked 75% of the way through..... I don't care about seeding this team will probably once again be locked into a playoff spot 3/4 of the way through. We need to make sure Freddie/Patches/Turbo and Aho go in the the playoffs healthy and not worn down.

The Caps going up big time before then with the new TV deal.... although I will admit we blew a lot of cap space the last few years we could have used next season on an insane FA class.

If patches and Freddie stay healthy it's SCF or bust.... He's a 40+ goal guy with us if he can *fingers crossed* we retool our complimentary Dmen every season around Slavin/Pesce/Skjei and remain a top D.

Cant be certain there. probably a factor for Svech and Necas though even if not proven... IMO a healthy Freddie and we beat the Islanders and probably didn't have to take Boston 7.... Raanta was so bad on the road.

This musical chairs crap on the oline is probably the stupidest thing being done an offensive line needs contiuntey, There is literally no way that some combination of Ickey/Christenson/Bozeman/Corbet/Moton isn't the top 5.

It's made worse in since the CBA that allowed cap rollover.... Think about if we hadn't wasted so much on Bridgewater/Darnold and I don't care that I'm gonna catch crap for this Cam and Gilmore as way to little to late band aids last season.... Just those four alone and we are talking about 130m+ in available cap space that could have rolled over.
