I think trusting people at this stage of the game if foolish. This coaching staff on paper looks good. But if Carr is signed and the Panthers fall on their faces then trust doesn’t mean much. This coaching staff has to give me a reason to trust them. As of right now I don’t. I “nothing” them. But I hope in the future I can trust them.

Ryan Poles trying to drive up the cost of the #1 pick
TLGPanthersFan replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
It is called 3 years without a franchise QB. It isn’t artificial. I hope they stay away from thinking like yours. Because you are content with mediocrity. -

You apparently like having this team with no QB. Stay at 9 makes no sense. At 9 we won’t get a QB and if we do he fell to 9 for a reason. -
Rumor: The Prodigal Son And The Road Home

In what world did Daniel 15TD Jones carry the offense? I find is hilarious that because the Giants overperformed they are pretty much stuck with extending Jones. They can't move up. -
Next couple of weeks are gonna be interesting.

The playoff game should prove that assumption.

Draft Hooker at #61 - would you?
TLGPanthersFan replied to bLACKpANTHER's topic in Carolina Panthers
Hooker is raw and won’t start. I have seen a possible of signing Carr, using 9 at BPA and drafting Hooker. But that scenario likely means Carr will be here 3-4 years means Hooker, who is already an old rookie, will be 2 years from turning 30. I am just not a fan of drafting a 25 year old rookie. The last old rookie QB we drafted wasn’t very good. -
Panthers founder Jerry Richardson passes away at 86

Without him we wouldn’t have the Panthers. Despite how badly it ended I am thankful to him for that. -
Those people are wrong. If Darnold starts next year this team will not make the playoffs and Darnold will be the reason why. You can not win consistently with the way Wilks ran the offense last year. You just can’t and that is the only way you can limit Darnold making mistakes. He isn’t a QB you can rely on if the running game goes to pop.

Preaching to the Choir, man. I know all too well Carr's problems. If we sign him I don't expect a Super Bowl. Just, maybe, consistent playoff appearances. That is fine with some people, but for me my hopes are a bit grander.

If we sign Carr any QB we take will just be for a backup roll. No QB we draft will probably ever start for us. Maybe Hooker, but I have my doubts that he can be a good NFL QB, also his age is a problem imo.

Only problem I have with Hooker is if we sign Carr to a 3-4 year deal Hooker will be 1 to 2 years removed from 30 if he even ever starts. Hooker is old for a rookie and I have a feeling any team who signs him will likely try to see if he can start year one, possibly.

Was really surprised how ineffective the Raiders offense was last year with all the weapons they had they should of at least made the Wild Card. Is that a symptom of Carr regression or McDaniels being a terrible HC? Both? Either/or?

With Carr at 32 we do need a plan for the future in place.

That tonight’s gonna be a good night?

It is pretty obvious at this point that people will keep thinking Darnold can be good until it is obvious he won’t be on the team anymore. Until then this small contingent of annoying Darnold fans will keep creating topics and being just really annoying.
