That Teddy is will beat us? Teddy has never beaten anyone. He has been dragged to victory by more talented players. Teddy can only “win” when the team around him is perfect or close to it. Saints: Top 10 defense, Top offensive line, WR and RB. Vikings: Top 5 Defense, a solid receiving core (Yet he only managed 15 TDs all season) and a prime AP Cam dragged a 2017 Panthers to the playoffs with no name receivers, a rookie CMC and aging Stewart, no Greg Olsen for most of the season and struggling defense. 2020 Cam had worse WRs and RB, missed a game because of Covid and had stats that were worse than Teddy yet still got his team to 7 wins. Mostly on his legs. Teddy could never put a team on his back like Cam and countless other franchise QBs have done. Teddy needs a team to elevate him, franchise QBs need to elevate a team.

His stat were terrible with the Saints and he wasn’t that great with the Vikings. A starting QB doesn’t throw 15 TDs as an average. I would expect him to throw at least 20+ as I said above. Also I gave you stats that you promptly ignored. Also those 4 dudes in the draft, and even Mac Jones are much more talented then Teddy Checkdown.

Teddy is who he is. A backup. Also, no, we don’t give credit for Teddy’s wins because he was on stacked teams with really good defenses and really good RB. He can hold down the fort but he will never win a Super Bowl. Also 15 passing TDs max ever as a starting QB is horrendous. I expect you to pass at least 20 to 25 TDs if you are a starting QB. If the Vikings had of not had a really good defense and really good RB they wouldn’t of even sniffed the playoffs. Teddy is not a franchise QB. He is a great back up and with a perfect team he can be dragged to a Super Bowl but we saw what happens when a Bridgewater type QB has to make a play to win the Super Bowl. He fails. 0-8. We could get some good players at cheaper prices due to the lower cap. Hope we concentrate on OL, S and a slot WR.

QB or bust. Yes, I would be upset if we didn’t get a QB this offseason. Next years QB crop looks bad to meh. I would say this team has no chance to get the maybe one good QB in next years draft but if Teddy starts for us again and we are still young on offense and defense we could actually draft in the top 5 or 10 next year.
