I agree it may take a few seasons to fix the defense. But I still think we could go from bottom of the barrel to top 25 in one season. Not a gigantic improvement but with a good offense they could be an opportunistic defense. I believe QB and defense will be the focus this off-season.

I know. With a solid off-season and a good draft this team could actually be good next season. We just need to finally solve the QB position and fix the defense. Which feels like a monumental task.

Dude lost all respect from fans and teammates with that lazy crap in the last game. Cam ran constantly and never asked to be taken out.

Never really understood the “build the team then go get the QB” mentality. Say we don’t get a QB in the next draft and improve the team. We will likely win our way out of any top QB unless we trade up again or one falls to us. Ward and Sanders have issues but they could be good and I have been impressed with Ward. We have free agency and draft picks to improve the defense.

Kinda reminded me of Bridgewater’s last game where he started pushing the ball down the field and he was bad at it.

The title confused me because we have already burned it down last off-season and the team is on ground zero. We are rebuilding. Morgan pretty much said as much during the off-season. He tried to nicely tell fans the team won’t be that good this year. I doubt he thought we would be this bad, but honestly I am not surprised we are. Only players I see use trading of DJ and Young. Nothing really else to trade.

Will always be the biggest head scratcher ever. Never draft a short QB first overall.

Darnold is who he is. The current situation reminds me of the Vikings a few year ago when they started a journeyman at QB and made it to the NFC Championship game. Then that player sucked when he left the team. Same thing with Foles when he left the Eagles. Darnold is “good” now. But we all know if he wasn’t in this perfect situation he would still be not good. When Darnold was here we said he needed a perfect team to be good and now he is on one that is perfect for him.

0-16 Lions and Browns were worse.

Darnold is Darnold. He hasn’t looked that good the last 2 weeks. In the playoffs he will meet defenses that will make him play outside his comfort zone if they make it. As I said before, the Vikings have the perfect team around Darnold. If he was on any other team he would be the same ole Darnold.

Is he fixed or is he just on a team that can make it easy for him and cover up his problem areas.

Sam has never been good at going through his progressions. He has one or two players he is gonna throw to and, dagnabit, he is gonna throw that ball to them even if a defender is covering them. JJ is just really really good at making it easy for Sam.

Amazing what you can do on a good team that can cover up your deficiencies and take advantage of your strengths.

Against backups. That first throw looked just as slow and lazy as his passes have always looked.

I was recommended a video on YouTube containing all of Bryce’s throws against the Bears and he looked exactly the same as he did before the benching. He was just playing against backups.

Yeah, I know. It is just frustrating when some of these articles titles sound like actual rumor to get you to read it and then when you do you realize that the writer has no idea and is just making stuff up. For some reason the media want Bryce to start again because Dalton has gotten boring. Even though if his one series against the Bears were any indication. Nothing changed and he still sucks.
