  1. Harbaughs not coming here. He already announced he is going back to Michigan. Plus Panthers have shown little interest in him. His camp contacted the Panthers not the other way around.
  2. Thing is those red lines are usually false and most people never actually follow them.
  3. If people react that way they need to take a breath. Step away from being a fan and just go do something else. I never cared about who was the coach until Rivera. Honestly I think people, including myself, area bit to involved and care a bit too much about someone like a HC. As long as they win they could be coached by whoever or whatever, imo.
  4. That's fine. I will continue to be a Panthers fan. I hold no strong feelings for Payton either way..
  5. Been a Panthers fan for 25 years. Not gonna change or not be a fan because of a coach. Just sounds petty.
  6. Not gonna argue with someone who brings race into it. Not gonna have a discussion with a person like that. Have a good night.
  7. Reich just feels like an offensive Rivera. That would be such a “blah” hiring. I believe that if Reich or Wilks get hiring it will be 3 year contract with expectation to win immediately. I don’t expect either coach to stick around long unless the have tremendous success.
  8. Plus if the Lions defense was any sort of decent they would have blown us out.
  9. Yeah. Ellis said he didn’t get the impression Kafka was really interested in the job. Sounds like they both were also down on Ken Dorsey. I had to stop while they were talking about them so I haven’t heard the end of it.
  10. He hasn’t proved he is a good coach either. 6-6. Perfectly balanced. Perfectly mediocre. Maybe if he is given the ability to choose his on staff 100 percent, since in Arizona he had most of his staff chosen for him, he will better. All I can do is judge with what I see. He had some good wins and some terrible losses. Also Holcomb becoming our DC permanently makes my stomach hurt and I am not a fan of how Wilks runs defenses. Would make me feel a little bit better if Holcomb wasn’t going to be our DC if Wilks is hired.
  11. Maybe. I think Wilks having zero interest outside of us is very telling what the league thinks about his coaching ability.
  12. Wilks would likely be on a VERY short leash and would most likely get a 3 year contract and be expected to make the playoffs soon. He would pretty much be a “bridge” HC unless he somehow proved he could be more. Because it is obvious that Wilks is not the HC Tepper wants and if Wilks is hired it is because everything fell through and Wilks is the only option available. Meaning I expect Reich to be hired before Wilks is.
  13. Don’t know if anyone has listened to the newest episode of The Roar with Ellis but, and it was just speculation but Ellis doesn’t really talk to talk, that Kafka doesn't want to come here. I get this feeling whoever we end up as our HC a lot of people are not gonna be happy.
  14. Something tells me they would only waive stuff if it happened in the NFL.
  15. It is still no surprise there are plenty of people who unfortunately don’t have that decency.
  16. Definitely understand people getting impatient and thinking this could negatively affect our coaching search. But as an owner. Supporting the people in any business you own during a tough time is always more important. Sure we may miss out on a coach but as someone said if they accept a job before interviews resume then it wasn’t meant to be and the coach probably didn’t want to be here. Also Payton not being interview will probably be good. Tepper did a good,
  17. His plan is Ball control offense. Play not to lose. Win time of possession. Limit missed opportunities. Sit on a lead instead of scoring more allowing the other team to get back in the game. No adjustments because his “gameplan” will work, darn it, even if it is obvious it isn’t working. Make it to the playoffs every even year instead of odd under Rivera. Gotta change it up. But because he is a former interim he will probably never make a Super Bowl. Since only one former interim has made it, Jeff Fisher, back in the 90s.
  18. He said he was going back because the Lions are building something special. Watch the Lions go 7-10 and miss the playoffs again.
  19. Never seen a guy so dedicated to mediocrity. It is funny and sad.
  20. I wonder how good he’d be if he had actual receivers. He leading receiver was signed off the street. I give Kafka and Daboll a TON of credit for turning Daniels career around. It was what Rhule had hoped to do with Donald. Unfortunately Rhule sucks.
  21. Kid played himself into an extension after the Giants didn’t exercise his 5th year option. When does that ever happen?
  22. Rivera was in high demand. Gotta jump on the mediocrity before someone snatched him up.
