I’d rather have Brissett if we have to go the bridge route. I have see enough of Darnold to know we can’t trust him long enough to have the team in the right spot for the rookie to take over. Likely what will happen is we force the rookie into action too early because Darnold’s expiration date arrived. Darnold, like every backup, HAS an expiration date.

We will be dinking and dunking just like this year if Sam is our starter. No HC worth his salt is gonna have any trust in Sam Darnold.

Which isn’t saying much at all. He still is a terrible QB. You don’t want him to be your starter because he will cause you to lose games.

We want to make the playoffs not be limited because our QB is a liability. Which Darnold will always be. He has, maybe 3 to 4 “ good” games in him and then he falls off a cliff. He isn’t a QB you want starting all season. .

Every time I see Darnold possibly STILL being on this team I get physically ill. He is like a rash that won’t go away. Darnold you suck please just go the eff away.

Good for Wilks. Still think he is a mid-tier DC but all that talent should make up for his problem areas.

I agree and disagree. As people have said highs were high but lows were really, really low. Never liked his defensive scheme and he was fired not only from Arizona, whose defense was horrible under him and Holcomb, who he wanted as his DC here. But from the University of Missouri and Browns. Both as DC. I think I read somewhere that Missouri’s defense actually got better when Steve left.

Tepper isn’t the one who makes the decision on defensive schemes. Also congrats on being negative.

Maybe. We have no idea. Saying we have less competition right now is misguided when there is a good chance we will have competition next season. Also everyone was saying this years class was good and now look. Same thing will happen next off-season. I guarantee it. It is a vicious cycle.

Carr isn’t worth trading for and I don’t want him signed to a long term contract if released. I still feel getting a QB in the draft no matter where is a better plan if it can happen.

I just see the Panthers ceiling being possible “season champs” and the failing in the playoffs. Kinda like the Vikings this year. Which may be good enough for some people but I’d like the see the Panthers win a Super Bowl.

You said no running QB have post seasons success. Which is false.

Hurts is a running QB. Mahomes is a mobile QB.

I am just tired of cast of QBs. We are never gonna find our franchise QB from other teams table scraps.

Well I am looking forward to seeing what he does next off-season. Kid has a major uphill battle. Especially if we draft a QB.

I think people have too high of expectations for a 3rd round pick.

I feel if we go into 2023 with Carr, another castoff QB, my expectations for next season will plummet. But a cast off QB didn’t work 3 season in row. Why NOT try a 4th. Panthers are the new home for unwanted QBs.

So Rivera’s BS started from the beginning. Then when the season started he became conservative and wanted to play fox ball. Until his job was on the line THEN and only then did he become aggressive. Rivera was so disappointing.
