Panthers met with Hooker per report
TLGPanthersFan replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Whatever happens at QB this season I am willing to give Reich the benefit of the doubt. I hope he learned from his time in Indy and we don’t continue the QB carousel. -
Daniel Jeremiah Has us taking.....

If we go DT stay at 9. If we go WR trade back. WR class is kinda weak. Heck if we don’t get a QB I am fine trading back period. -
What vet QB? I want to win a Super Bowl not just go to the playoffs and until we get a franchise QB we are going no where. Playoffs maybe good enough for some people but not me. I am getting very impatient.
-
I disagree. This team is built for a rookie or young QB, could be Corral, but probably not. There are no BIG QB to trade for this off-season. Rodgers isn’t coming here and Lamar is definitely not coming here. Panthers are between a rock and a hard place. Sign a 30 year old QB to a big contract and hope that we can revive his career, deja vu. Move up in the draft for a QB or take a project QB at 9. Sign a bridge QB for this year and ask the fans to be patience because 2023 will be rough QB-wise. New staff has a lot of hard questions to answer of the next few months. Glad I am not them.

Panthers met with Hooker per report

Well when you wrong you’re wrong and you sir are wrong. But I am glad your okay being wrong. Panthers are not gonna draft a QB in the second round. It is either first round or not at all. -

If we get AR I am fine with a Bridge QB as long as it isn’t Darnold. -

The WR class this year is really weak and we can fill the DE in free agency. If we are gonna take a risk on a player and not move up then it makes more sense to get Richardson at 9. -

I don’t want confidence booster I want a franchise QB. -
No moving back. This is the year to trade up.

If I was the Giants I would be laughing at him when he said that is what he wanted. His supposed “best” season wasn’t all that great anyway. 15 TD last season, 15. Also Barkley being healthy definitely helped mask Jones’ problems and Jones’ can’t win without Barkley.
-
His stats weren’t that impressive and he was really helped by Barkley staying healthy. That playoff game was impressive but the game after it was not. 45 million for a QB that threw 15 TDs in 2022 and was very meh the years prior. If Barkley gets injured again, and he will, Jones can’t carry the team. This is really stupid in Jones’ part. He should take whatever the Giants give him and be happy. 45 million is money for a QB that doesn't need a healthy RB to win.

Price to move into top 3 based on past trades.

Saints. Game. It is likely people have selected memory and refuse to acknowledge a game where Darnold showed 100 percent why he is a terrible QB. If Darnold is resigned by us the it better be because we had a clear plan and he will either A) Never start unless he has to, a backup, or B) Starts in the very story term, like 4 games max, then we start the rookie. Darnolds expiration is 4 games and then he falls apart.

Unfortunately no. But good to see another Z series fan. I loved the 300zx as a kid.

I enjoy some off topic conversation during the off-season. So what cars are you guys watching? Personally I always loved the Nissan Z series because it looks like you spent 75000 when you only spent 40000.

Interesting twist regarding Lamar Jackson...
TLGPanthersFan replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
If Lamar wasn’t so injury prone I would say yes in a heart beat. He hasn’t played a full season in 2 years. So I am gonna pass 100 percent of the time. -
Yeah that’s right. Keep kicking that QB can down the road.
-
You are assuming any of the QBs besides 1 or 2 will be worth moving up into the top ten. It will still be expensive.
-
Still find it weird people think we are gonna be in a position to get a QB of the future in 2024 or that all the QBs in a supposedly good draft are gonna all be worth trading up for in the eyes of the Huddle. I said it before. It will be like it is every year. Bunch of QB hype before the college season. Then all but maybe one or two are gonna be worth potential trading up and the QB needy teams won’t want to trade down. But more that likely none will be worth trading up at all in the Huddles eyes. College QB Hype>College Season Starts>Hype for QBs goes Down>None are worth getting in the first round>Maybe next year is the year>Repeat.
-
Watch next year everyone will be saying none of those QBs will be worth trading up. Also we will have to trade up because unless the wheel really fall off we are not getting another top 10 pick.
-
We will see. Not gonna disagree with you but also not gonna put a stamp on him being the top 3 QBs we’ve had. I will remain skeptical of him if he signs with us until proven wrong. If we sign him he will likely be here for 4 plus years. He isn’t gonna sign as a bridge QB. Hopefully the team can be built to survive his inevitable brain fart games he seems to have every season.
-
Until proven otherwise. I will continue to be skeptical of any QB we bring in from another team. If Carr is brought in fine. Hope he works out. But I won’t be surprised if he doesn’t.
-
He didn’t seem that elite this year.
-
Carr is Cousins level. Meaning he shrinks during big games and often commits terrible mistakes at the worst of times or just disappears from the game entirely. If that is what the team wants then so be it. At least we’ll make the playoffs but always get beat in the playoffs. Vikings of the NFC South.
