Through 8 games you’d think I would see something that made me excited about his throwing ability. But almost all I have seen is meh. Nothing exciting. Nothing that says yeah this guy was worth all the capital we spent on him. This guy was worth taking 1st overall. All I see is a struggling, mediocre at best QB. Regardless of being a rookie even Lawrence, people seem to love bringing him up, had some good highlights by the 8 game mark in spite of Urban Meyer being an idiot. I have said it before, you don’t trade up for a QB and take him first overall if you need a perfect team around him. If you do then the team made a big mistake.

Brees was also taller with a better arm. Bryce struggles to throw accurately at 20 yards. Never liked or agreed with the Brees comparison. I feel Bryce‘s ceiling is Bridgewater.

So Young needs a better coach. We are in agreement on that.

First overall picks should not need a perfect situation and I am seeing a lot of people saying that if he had a better o-line, better receivers, better everything he’d be much better. Maybe, but if I am drafting a QB, NUMBER ONE, in the draft he better be able to carry the team. Bryce may get better and be a decent QB with a good team around him. But I feel we will win games in spite of him not because of him.

At this point it is obvious that was fluff and propaganda for the masses.

I would not be surprised if the Panthers offense actually takes chances on Thursday. The ghost of Riverboat Ron.

What growth? Through 8 games I have pretty much seen the same QB. Only changes are is if he will throw some interceptions, but His stats have pretty much been identical through 8 games. QB School says there is growth. All I see is the same QB who checks down and is inaccurate downfield. Now he has happy feet after this game.

Really hedging your bet on a short QB that can’t make accurate long passes.

I just hope we don’t pull a Browns and bring back Reich even after we goes 1-16 or 2-15 thinking it will be different. Only real solace in that is we will be drafting top 5 again next year.

I still find is sadly hilarious how the commentators always say Young was ragdolled. Seems to happen at least once a game. I think ragdolling was mentioned the last two games in regards to Young being sacked or pressured.

We somehow make the Bears look like a good team and the Bears defense looks like a top 5 unit.

He just doesn’t have any zip to his passes. You can get away with that in college. Honestly I am surprised he doesn't have more INTs. So many of his passes are so slow looking.

I get that mentality but Bryce hasn’t shown really anything as to why he was worth being 1st overall. He struggles to throw downfield, most of his yardage are checkdowns and he has yet to show any reason during the games as to why we took him so high. Most rookie QBs who are struggling still show something that makes people realize why he was taken first overall. Bryce so far just looks like a 2 or 3rd round low ceiling QB. Not a supposed franchise QB.

Yeah I can remember, like, multiple game winning drives. Several in 2015. Including one where Cam made the “I got this” face.

Compared Young to Brees is hilarious. Also you bought a Young jersey which is double hilarious.

Never will blame Young. Don't hate the kid. I mean why would I? But as you said he just isn't an NFL talent. But unfortunately we are stuck with him for at least 4 years, unless we can get someone to trade for him. So we have to hope this year is just rookie crap.
