Lame duck in year 3. I see no way this team is a playoff team next year. OL is still a problem and we still need a long term plan at QB. Rhule shouldn’t get a year 3. Nothing is gonna change.

Minshew is just Fitzgerald. He'd make a great backup, but not a good long term starter. It is feast or famine with him.

I think if we had of drafted Fields and still had the same record as now we wouldn't be as hard on Rhule as we are now. Yes Fields may not work out for the Bears but I assume he would have sat for the season if we would have drafted him. I love Horn but having a potential franchise QB waiting in the wings for 2022 would have given this fan base hope. That is the main thing. Their is no feeling of hope right now.

I always laugh at this. 5 year plan is okay if you are a college team, not an NFL team. You have at most 3 years.

So does this mean Rhule WILL be back next season no matter how badly the team performs down the stretch? Brady was obviously not doing well, but I feel like he may of been a scape goat so Rhule will have an excuse. I don't know. Guess we'll find out.

Biggest mistake was hiring Rhule and keeping Marty. Marty should of been fired and then we hire the GM and then coach. The way we have gone about it is bass ackward.

You’re right. 6-11 now is the equivalent to 5-11. So no improvement if we lose out or win 1. Man, if he is around in 2022 after having the same record 2 years in a row. I gotta ask what Tepper is thinking right now.

I hate that we face that we face Falcons and Saints. I could see us winning those games and Rhule being like, “Hey I won 6 games instead of 5.”

I liked Ron. But he was infuriating as a coach sometimes.

What is wrong with the Canes? Only loss 2 games in a row but both losses are concerning.

Good news is that Rhule, if the teams stays as it is, will be gone next year. This team is till years away from being contenders. I see nothing positive going into 2022 season.

In the NFL it shouldn’t take 3 years to build a playoff contender. 3 is the maximum but it shouldn’t take that long. Took Fox 1 year and Rivera 2, yeah we went 7-9 in 2012 but I think 2012 was a playoff team that was being held back by Rivera until his seat got hot. I know people are pointing at the length of his contract but 7 years doesn’t mean he has a ton of time. If Rhule isn’t fired this season next season will be Rhules last season if he doesn’t make the playoffs. If your team doesn’t make the playoffs in year 3 then your shouldn’t be a head coach anymore. Personally Rhule needs to make the playoffs convincingly not 9-8 or 8-9 bullcrap.

I hope Tepper isn’t that stupid to use injuries as an excuse to being Matt Fool back.
