That may be the case as the main issue that I see is that his age would not fit the profile of the current roster.

That is what I thought, but did not want to commit ti it without checking first. Gilmore would be good for if we can get him for two to three years and he is healthy. That would also have two SC alum as our outside corners.

I am going to go with Rhules rule of one game at a time. There is no reason to start the ticker-tape or pop the corks on the champagne for games that have yet to be played.

Yes, the oline sucks and we had been winning games in spite of it. Still, the Panthers have to go out each week for the next 13-14 weeks and play to win football games. We will win some and we will lose some. Hopefully we are good enough to make the playoffs and maybe win a game. We are in the second year of a rebuild and the way I see it is that we are playing with house money as no one expected them to really be competing this year. Next year we should correct the oline and with that Sam will have another year in the system. A second year and an improved oline should give a better indication of where Sam really is.

Honestly unless the bottom falls out of the season we are not going to be position to draft one. So which free agent should we target?

The Panthers showed some grit when they tried to make a come back in the fourth quarter. Many teams would have rolled over.

I think that it sent a signal that we NEEDED the points. Which may be telling on the the state of mind that the coaches were in at that point in the game.

The Panthers defense is good when they have a lead and have a chance to pin their ears back and attack the other teams offense. In a close game they have shown that they are not as good with defending the run.
