I am of the belief that, “Tanking” is not required to get one of the top prospects. The team can play to win and still get one of the top three QB’s. Besides, I would like for Detroit to pick ahead of the Panthers, because whoever they select will likely be the wrong choice.

Which QB is worth a #1 pick? Maybe one or two of them could go in the first 15 picks, but I am not sure that there is some sort of next Cam Newton, Andrew Luck, or even Trevor Lawrence waiting for some team to take at the first spot. If they are the worst team, then they will get the first pick. Otherwise, they will get the pick that is appropriate for the talent level that exists on this team.

Isn’t this what you wanted? All this should have seemed inevitable the day Matt Rhule was fired. And if I remember correctly, you were one of the engineers on the “Fire Matt Rhule” train. So embrace it, love it, and feel proud that you got what you wanted. The truth is that good, and great players will not sit through two rebuilds as it diminishes their value, or capital potential for a new contract after the current one expires. It should be apparent to you, and everyone else, that this offense that the next coach will build will be open to any style that they prefer and may be completely different to what they have played over the past four years.
