  1. Actually they’re eggs kind of like the eggs on a cobb salad whereas the Spanish would say huevos.
  2. I don’t care what Garry Cobb says. I’m thinking that the Texans are just waiting for the Saints to get their cap numbers together to show that they can get Watson in under the cap. If they can meet that requirement I think the Sean is going to go to New Orleans. I bet that of Deshauns preferred destination with Carolina #2.
  3. Yes, already spoke about his conversation with people that were at the meeting yesterday.
  4. Could be bidding war between teams where he would be willing to go to?
  5. Christian not part of deal Texans want Carolina to win Panthers have best offer Atl maybe be posturing (bs) Maybe no players Deshauns decision Meeting ended with Deshaun content and with future plans Kyle speculated that he is waiting for a contender…but Panthers would not lose because of a bad pitch
  6. Kyle Bailey is about to talk about what he knows after speaking to the Panthers. He’s gonna explain what their pitch was to DeShaun. In about two minutes.
  7. Sort of thinking the same thing. I do not remember seeing teams behaving this way before. Were other teams doing this when Russell Wilson was about to go to Denver?
  8. I’m thinking that this is just a tactic coming from the Deshaun’s camp in order to raise the amount of guarantee portion of his new contract he may get from the Panthers. Houston has the amount of compensation they would need in order to have the Deshaun meet with the Panthers so that’s been known and taken care of. This seems like a secondary negotiation after yesterday‘s meeting. However it could just be Houston playing games to up the amount of capital that is needed to finalize the deal.
  9. Why don’t you sign in under your regular username?
  10. One thing I don’t believe anyone has mentioned is what this is actually Deshaun’s camp just trying to get a larger guaranteed portion out of the Panthers when they extend and restructure his contract? It seems to me we’re not really negotiating with Houston we are more or less trying to negotiate with Deshaun to entice him more in order to choose the Panthers.
  11. This could be just the NFC south teams trying to drag this out longer to prevent the Panthers from being more active in free agency over any intention of actually bringing Deshaun in as their next quarterback.
  12. And I thought that this thread wouldn’t reach 200 pages…
  13. If the Panthers are willing to trade him then obviously he is not. He is also from the past regime of Rivera and Hurney and may not fit the mold of the DE they need for the defense. With the defensive issues they had against the run this year maybe it’s something they’re reconsidering. So that they have a player that can play the pass (maybe not as effective as Brian) and also play the run well. This is an opportunity to get high value for a player that may not fit what they’re going to do going forward.
  14. If the Panthers planned on drafting left tackle this year and a quarterback next year that will be two of the first rounders. Another thing to consider is if we have no intention of resigning Brian Burns and it’s best to get value out of him now. It is better to get higher value now than to just let him walk in free agency later . The only true loss would be Jeremy Chinn since he has the most upside potential for being a pro bowler within a year or so.
  15. Twice the amount of clicks if both threads are active?
  16. It wasn’t exactly a scientific poll. If you could create an alt or unlimited alts then one could vote as many times as they liked or disliked…
  17. That is the craziest thing of all especially when the Panthers are in the eighth largest NFL media market.
  18. I don’t believe Tepper is a terrible owner. I just think he’s ambitious and hungry to build something that is successful. When someone has had the kind of success like he has in the business world it is only natural to believe that it would carry over to the NFL. In the NFL there are rules to regulate the owners for the amount of money that they have to spend. Because of this, it is difficult for an owner with the amount of capital that David has to get whatever he wants. All in all this is a new experience for him. What needs to happen going forward for him is that he needs to learn how to adapt to the new rules and play the same game that everyone else is. He will need to learn to not try to simply outspend every one because he has the most money available.
  19. Well, the Panthers still have a chance to get Kenny Pickett, or Malik Willis. We could just run it back with Sam and try and win it all?
