Is it to early to revisit the Corral vs Malik Willis debate?
SOJA replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
Matt and KOC have cemented themselves as top 5 coaches this year. They are doing phenomenal jobs -
Hamstring injuries are notoriously difficult to come back from, the fact that Adam is getting an MRI is not a good sign. This likely isn't a tweak it's probably a partial tear. I wouldn't expect him back for quite some time Lewis is maybe more cocerning IMO. Zavala being next to Ickey still gives me nightmares

amen to that Chris. amen to that.
-
that would be a dream I'm just still hyper pessimistic and nervous given how much we've struggled for the last season plus

One of the best plays XL made today imo wasn't even a catch. Dalton lofted one out of bounds over his head. XL was able to change direction and track the ball like a center fielder. That is actually much more difficult and not natural for a lot of guys. It's also a good sign that he has some potential that's untapped there. I am very excited about him moving forward, he may be our Nuk Hopkins (not in terms of player comp but a very very good WR drafted at the end of round 1)

Bryce can’t be on the team this time next week.
SOJA replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
Fiz still has his fastball I agree however about his camp planting stories. Seems like they got in the ear of a lot of national media this week saying 'you can't blame bryce look at the team around him' Well that team just looked like one of the best offenses in the entire league today. Dolphins will never be more desperate than they currently are and Bryce's stock is only going to go down from here. It's a sunk cost. Get what you can from him now and move on -
Also I would trade Bryce Young tomorrow to the Dolphins. They will never be more desperate than they are currently and his stock is only going to go down the longer we wait.

My plan is simple We likely still end up with a top 3 pick this year (schedule gets tough from here on out outside of a few games) Trade down to a QB needy team. Pick up an extra second this year and first next year. Draft the best edge at like pick 7-9, James Pierce is my current choice but that's subject to change. With our two second round picks pick the best NT, CB or double dip at edge Next year 2026. Draft Nico high. Draft best WR with extra first round pick. Profit.

Offense look awesome today, even in the game Dalton played last year we didn't look this good. I think we may have a good one in Canales. Also how bad is Bryce Young that he made the entire franchise look completely incompetent for 18 games

with how much offenses around the league are relying on the run this year Brooks may end up being one of the steals of the draft trading for the rams second rounder looks like a stroke of genius at the moment otherwise agree with everything you said

agree completely

Would quarterbacks avoid Carolina Panthers in NFL Draft?
SOJA replied to jayboogieman's topic in Carolina Panthers
No one this year besides maybe Sanders would refuse to be number one overall, none of the guys warrant it at this point imo -
This makes me want to vomit
-
My top choice would be Justin Fields. See if he can have a Baker like resurgence with us. Next choice would be keeping Dalton and signing Trey Lance for development ( a swing) Definitely would draft a QB in 2026 and most importantly KEEP a veteran so that QB can sit awhile
-
Don't really blame Dan for the WR room. He had to upgrade complete trash in one offseason and he did the best he could. Thus far the WR room looks great. Sanders has looked good for a fourth round pick at a position that notoriously takes a few years to become good at in the NFL. If XL gets more playing time and makes some plays I'd actually consider this offseason a success. Oh and trading down with the Rams looks like a stroke of genius atm

RUMOR: Bryce Young 'pissed' at being benched for Andy Dalton
SOJA replied to FutureDynasty's topic in Carolina Panthers
I mean if he wasn't pissed I would say his career is for sure over. -
How did nobody catch this before drafting him?
SOJA replied to Knaakedup's topic in Carolina Panthers
I agree whoever said in another thread that Bryce's career began to spiral as soon as real life NFL action came at him in Atlanta. Aside from Houston and the GB game he has pretty much gotten worse every single week. That's a mental issue, and as we all know that was his calling card coming out. -
Sheena is an excellent reporter and we are lucky to have her covering the team but she does this quite often. Makes a vague post to generate interest and never fully explains. BTW I think she is referring to KD

Yep doesn't pass the eye test. Subject to change of course over the course of the season. Joe Burrow comes to mind there. I was a huge CJ stroud guy the year before we drafted him because I saw him routinely make NFL level throws against all competition As I stated in my OP I will happily eat crow if I'm wrong I have nothing against Ewers personally I just don't see him being worthy of 1.1. I'm not alone in this there are plenty of legitimate talent evaluators who don't have him as 1.1 either

I don’t understand the the hate on Tepper for Bryce getting benched
SOJA replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
right most owners give the blessing on major decisions. They don't initiate them and they don't involve themselves with the minutia of the team. Which Tepper is certainly still doing -

SOJA replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
It does not matter how you feel about benching bryce, David tepper being involved in the decision is NOT a good thing. Just because he makes a singular good call does not mean he should be involved. This only makes me more concerned about our future moving forward -
He doesn't pass the eye test for me, also had Jatavion, Worthy and Mitchell last year in the Big 12 and only threw 22 TDs? Im not saying he's not a second or maybe even a first round pick but first overall? Also my point still stands about this team being talent depleted. Now if we could draft Ewers in a trade down or in the second then I'd be more willing to consider it
