Also don't be the dad who is eating hot wings and pizza in the room while the mom is vomiting from labor. I've seen it all, but that and the dad's who literally sleep through the birth of their child despite being prompted to wake up are pretty much the only things dad do that consistently irk me.

I'm an OB. I always say this. It's a good thing women are the ones who have to give birth, because if men had to the human race would have gone extinct may centuries ago.

Back from vacation, talk to me about your training camp interests.

I'm also interested to see what our plan is for S Chinn is an excellent SS imo not sure how he would translate to a true FS role tho -

LT and QB where our season will begin and end with how solid those positions are. Otherwise I think we have the makings of a really good team. Unfortunately those are probably positions #3 and #1 in terms of importance for a good team -
agreed but a tweener should never be your pick in the top ten imo

The biggest point to make here is that Isiah Simmons was a bad pick at the time and looks even worse now

5 Carolina Panthers players facing an uphill battle at training camp

this was and still is my biggest gripe with Hurney and to an extent Gettleman. they believed too much in themselves. Smart GMs like Fitts know this is a guessing game and you have to increase your chances -
totally agree

I mean Fields was the right pick and I will defend that till the day I die.

While I agree that's probably the best short term solution IMO the best longterm solution is to leave Moton at RT and add a LT. This all gets back to my theory that the Panthers *really, really, really* wanted Sewell. A top flight CB is great, but we put a lot of chips in getting our top rated LT in the draft as we did nothing to address it in FA. I also believe the Panthers were a lot lower on Slater and Darrisaw than people think

admittedly this is the least I have studied these prospects/watched college basketball in my adult life, but do people not like the kid from Duke anymore, Johnson?

we have the makings of a really solid offensive line...if we just had a LT

Rhule see’s Brady Christensen more of a RT or OG than a LT

I agree I think it's a shame if we don't at least try him at LT first -

Yea I think he is referring to arm length -
Have a really hard time seeing us win a SB this year even if things go pretty perfectly. Darnold would need to be above average (top ten in the league) and our defense would have to be near the top 5. Also the LT position is highly concerning. I don't think we have the talent there to hold up against the best of the NFL's pass rushes come Jan/Feb

yea I like SBBlue good contributor

when talib asked him what his best game was I honestly thought about the game when he was on the NYJ against us. He went off that game.
-
All signs point to us being a stable organization that is forward thinking so that's encouraging.

How much of the Jets performance was really on Darnold?

good post -
The TL;DR version is: Earl has always been a strange character. It's part of what made him so great. He was Smitty esque in terms of competing. However, as we all know that can be a double edged sword. His play dropped significantly with the Ravens and yet his attitude got seemingly stranger, i.e. missing team meetings, leaving for vacation when he really shouldn't have etc. He really didn't buy into the Ravens culture. Players went out of there way to warn other players for their franchise NOT to sign him. I can't recall exactly but in the article I believe Houston was about to sign him but ravens players scared houston players so bad they lobbied for them not too.

This article does the best job I've ever seen of explaining it all. It's on the athletic https://theathletic.com/2300975/2021/01/06/earl-thomas-iii-where-seahawks-ravens/

2 is basically what happened with Deshaun Watson Tannehill was flat out better than Darnold was in NY, to go from the worst starter in the league to above average has rarely EVER happened in NFL history
