They changed his position and he sat out of football awhile. I think we're a LONG way off from calling him a bust but he hasn't looked great so far.

lmao I missed the guy under the center -
I mean if Darnold doesn't pan out and Fields does the writing is on the wall for Rhule

Need a kicker First and second year's draft classes look like a grand slam and at least a triple respectively Darnold didn't look horrible against one of the better defenses in the NFL

I count five guys in our backfield lol -
Well the argument was New York left him out to dry routinely and hampered his development. Panthers are trying a different approach.

I just don't understand why we haven't at least given him a shot at LT, you know the position he played for four years in college

Everyone just be so grateful that Burns was there in the first. Not just because Brian Burns might end up being the third best defensive player in panthers history but also because Hurney was going to take Little in the first had Burns not been there. LMAO god I'm so glad Hurney is gone

Yea I never really could get into the game, maybe I'll give it another go sometime. Just kinda boring

He was fantastic

PJ is the classic has flashy plays but also makes some really terrible decisions. The INTs he threw last year were some of the worst decisions I've ever seen a QB make before

I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not

Pretty good, pretty violent. Idk maybe I'm just getting softer as I get older.

Carolina Panthers are STILL interested in Deshaun Watson
SOJA replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'd be pretty shocked at this point. Look Tepper put his money where his mouth was. He promised to let the football guys do football stuff and he did. We passed on Fields, traded for Darnold and took Horn. I'm sure Tepper would be ecstatic if he could sell out every single Deshaun Watson Panther's jersey there ever was but given the legal ramifications, the potential for him to be out of the league for an extended time not to mention the massive amnt of draft capital the Texans are going to want makes me believe we aren't interested. -
excellent counterpoint

the best troll of all time on this board was TheRealDeal or Matt Moore's brother

Honestly I kind of agree, feel bad for Kirkwood certainly but not sure the DB deserved to be cut

amazing write up OP!! I am really relieved to hear that Sam so far looks the part and the potential of him being a franchise guy or at least a guy that can win you football games still exists after NY. I am very worried about the o-line, it's been a concern since the Lions took Sewell. I can't believe we didn't try harder to sign Eric Fisher. I'll have to look into available OT but we need something

The worst with a clean pocket, the worst in the red zoneā¦

I mean the whole point of us trading for him was in the hope that a fresh start would kind of be just that? Him restarting his career as basically a 23 year old rookie with some experience to boot. I still don't agree with the decision to pass on fields but we at least have to see how he does on the field before outright calling it a failure
