Also kelvin benjamin for literally giving up on the route and subsequent pick 6 in which Cam injured his shoulder When you think about it: Cam is 35. If he never hurts that shoulder he is probably still our QB. Ah who am I kidding Rhule would have cut him because he was a sniveling coward and scared Cam would be a bigger presence in the locker room

Dan Graziano: Panthers will trade Diontae Johnson
SOJA replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I mean I understand that from his agent's standpoint. WRs are getting PAID right now. Why wouldn't they want him to hit the open market this offseason -

fuging lol -
I'm actually ok if they stand pat unless a team offers us something worthwhile. We haven't won a trade in a long time (except the Dionte deal and the Rams trade). It's ok to not have to be in on every deal when you get screwed everytime If we trade Dionte we aren't likely to get better than a fifth rounder. I feel like if he gets paid elsewhere this offseason we could get a better comp pick anyway

Tepper is like a degenerate gambler. He goes to Vegas with 100 dollars in his pocket. Instead of picking and choosing his spots he goes to the roulette table and immediatley puts 100 on a specific number. This of course doesn't work. Now he sees all his buddies having a great time so he goes and pulls another 100 out. This time however he puts it all on red to get back in on the action and loses again. So he goes back and pulls out another 100...
-
exactly. It was the first of many tepper moves of deleting something but instead of just embracing the tank giving up resources to patch work the hole he just made. This has been continued ad nauseum since that year.
-
Incorrect. In my thesis on David Tepper I will elaborate on this further. If we draft Fields that year there is no reason to give up capital for Sam Darnold (2,4,6) and no reason to trade a future third for matt corral the next year. So we could have had Fields + a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th round pick. And yet we wonder why this team has no depth. Further and most importantly....there would have been no sense in trading up for bryce. We would have been entering year 3 with fields. If he had sucked the year prior we would have had a top 3 pick. If he had been decent with Steve Wilks we likely make the playoffs or come close but either way we do not trade up. If he sucked last year then we would have ended up with Williams, Daniels or Maye. By passing on Fields when he fell to us we ultimately doomed ourselves for the future.
-
There has been so many but in order IMO 1- The trade up AND selecting Bryce. I put both here because basically if we chose either not to trade up we end up with Caleb Williams, Drake Maye or Jayden Daniels. If we still trade up but we take CJ Stroud that would have been worth it. Either way if either of those two factors go differently we are an entire differently organization. 2- Not taking Justin Fields when we had the chance. Not only did we trade for Darnold before the draft. We could have just sat where we were taken Fields. Let him develop under Teddy for a year and see what we had. We save the picks from the Darnold deal but more importantly....THERE would have been no need to trade up for Bryce OR trade away CMC as we still would have been giving Fields his fair shot. Further if Fields had sucked here last year we would have ended up with Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels or Drake Maye As you can see Tepper has a cost us Williams, Daniels or Maye TWICE by his level of impatience. Now the most precious point about number two is, there is a very real chance we sign Justin Fields this offseason 3- not just keeping Cam Newton for the last year of his contract. This is truly when our downward spiral / constant moving towards a new QB started. If we keep Cam that year we likely suck very badly as it is Rhule's first year and Cam would be hurt and we likely end up with Trevor Lawrence

Great point

I don't think we should trade him fwiw then we also have to address LT against tons of other needs
-
Justin Fields makes the most sense. Steelers look like they won't re-sign him and he would be the immediate starter for us. We could lean into a heavy running game with him and focus all resources on defense in the draft. The other benefit is if he doesn't work out who cares 2026 QB draft might be nice
-
i've tried but I literally just can't not watch the games. it is literally an addiction. I wish I could just stop caring. This reads sarcastic as fug but it's not

I see this all over the internet right now and I want to clarify something both Bryce, Dalton and our offense being bad are not mutually exclusive. It's much more likely that all three are bad
-
I'm happy for Sam At first I hated the trade, then I talked myself into it, then I hated it again But when I matured is when I realized it wasn't Sam's fault. He had Matt Rhule coaching him and then when Wilks took over he looked not bad. I don't think he'd be the player today without Shannhan and now KOC grooming him though. He needed an actual talented offensive mind.

I just want to point out that Vegas GIVING the Broncos (a below average offense) 8 points against any NFL team is actually insane. 8-10 point spreads are pretty rare in the NFL unless it's like the Ravens vs. Panthers. The broncos getting that level of respect just shows how much Vegas thinks we stink
-
If the white selections are the ones you've selected you've actually picture the Panthers to win or lose the game by less than 8 points or win. Yes the Broncos can WIN the game and as long as it is 7 point lead or less you would win the bet You have bet the under so the total number of points scored would have to be 43 or less. Sometimes I look at team totals to help me with what they are predicting each team to score prior to betting over/unders. For example if they were predicting the Broncos to score 23.5 and the Panthers to score 20 (they aren't it's just an example) I would be the under bc no fuging way do we score 20 points.
-
Ok so when a team has a plus sign (panthers +7.5) that means Vegas is giving you 7.5 points so the Panthers can win or even LOSE by 7 points and you would still win your bet, when a team has a minus sign (broncos -7.5) that means you need more that amount to win the bet. The second column is the over / under for total points in the game. That's self explanatory The final column is the money line so just who you think wins the game. Now the odds. It's oddly reported but essentially that is the odds of your bet. Lower numbers equals less return on your money. It's easiest to think of it has 100 dollars. With -110 odds that nets you essentially 90 dollars (91 to be exact) plus your original money back. So if the Broncos win by 8 and you put 100 dollars in you would net 91 dollars but have 191 in your account. For positive odds like the Panthers money line you can essentially take the first two numbers and multiply it by your betting amount. So 100% on the Panthers money line would net you 2.8 X 100 280 dollars with the original bet back so 380 would be in your account. Obviously there with really, really low odds like -1000 you are not going to profit that much money unless you bet a HUGE chunk of money. I'm not advising you to gamble but play around with it in the app and it will tell you how much you are going to make if you hit your bet Also if you are starting to gamble DO NOT bet large amounts. Start with like 1 and 5 dollars. Good gamblers are principled and only bet units of money. For some a unit is 1 dollar for some it's 1000 dollars. Depending on your disposable income but eventually Vegas wins and the sport is too random to bet 100% correct. Excellent gamblers have like a 60% success rate or even less. Gambling help? See I kind of see it as the opposite. They will talk Brady into that they can make him a mentor for Shedeur

I agree with this, Frank just looked defeated by week like 6. His heart wasn't in it anymore, it never really was for Bryce. When things went south I think he just kept thinking: I didn't even really want this but I'll stick to the company line because I'm a professional. I *really* hope Reich comes out one day and says what happens but he strikes me as someone who has a lot of pride and doesn't want to throw Fitterer under the bus too.

agreed but their defense (also decimated by injuries) is better than our defense. I think they sneak one or two more out again some bad division opponents
