  1. I absolutely love this pick!!! Brugler has him with a third round grade he is SUPER athletic, ranked 8th overall on RAS out of 1382 OG
  2. Don't love the trade but I understand it. He's a high risk high reward guy. He may end up being a double digit sack guy that Evero eventually unlocks and he may never have a sack. I definitely think we need to call Leonard Floyd
  3. i love this pick. even if Mingo doesn't work out (but I think he has a good chance to be really good) it shows that we are NOT repeating the mistakes of the past we did with Cam
  4. I read from someone somewhere that Levis bombed interviews and was extremely arrogant. I chalked up to nothing because its hard to know whats true about that stuff. Looks like that might have been true.
  5. Brian Branch and Michael Mayer are the best players left and clearly have a talent gap above the rest of the players remaining, you could probably throw Joey Porter Jr. in there as well Naturally they all probably go picks 1 2 and 3 tonight If however one of them is there at 39 that would be my pick no hesitation. If none of those guys fall I want us to trade down a few spots. Tepper kind of tipped our hand last night basically saying we were targeting defense with the pick and we have a glaring hole at edge and Fitty has said multiple times they are targeting it and even considered trading back up for one (god I wish we could have gotten Nolan Smith) So that being said I think we end up with BJ Ojulari at 39
  6. I literally told you to go make money, hope you did
  7. we would have to trade at minimum 39 and 93 and it would be highly unlikely we could get any higher than pick 28 ish some team would have to be a big idiot and Hurney already drafted for the night
  8. We have a veteran in Dalton and a young guy who we have invested a not insignificant amount of draft capital in. We also have a ton of depth and holes elsewhere. In short, no.
  9. I don't think Tepper is as nearly as involved with final say of football decisions as you guys make him out to be. Case and point, we have it on pretty good authority that he wanted to draft Justin Fields
  10. this is what I believe. We could use the extra draft capital and the talent difference between 39-47 is likely negligible
  11. I have no comment other than that I have a grudge against Matt Miller. He had a podcast after CAR lost to NOLA in the playoffs in which Cam played one of the best games by a QB I have ever seen and him and his podcast host had the fuging audacity to come away from that game saying we needed a new QB. fuging ridiculous.
  12. I'm just still riding the high that we have a staff and front office that know what it takes to win in this league. No matter who we draft the risk was worth it (yes losing DJ sucks but we aren't winning a Superbowl with poo at QB and DJ at WR) I've come to accept that will take Young and I'm more than ok with that. He has a superpower in play recognition and ability to extend plays. That's what makes Mahomes and Rodgers so good imo. If our staff is fine with his size than I could not be more excited to purchase my #9 Young jersey
  13. I'm going black personally, just feel like that will look so clean
  14. I can see why Bryce crushes interviews. He is confident but not cocky.
  15. I know we have heard that this is a good predictor for the QB position but I would be interested if any high level QBs in the NFL have a score that low. That seems *really* low, albeit this was a test I hadn't heard of until a few weeks ago. That being said I've made my peace that we're drafting Bryce and I'm excited for the future of CAR football.
  16. Make sure to read about Malik Willis, I'm convinced he's who we are taking
  17. Here is my most realistic mock with what I think the Panthers would ideally like to do. FWIW we have met with most of these prospects. Trade down: New coaching staff will want new blood. We have a lot of draft capital this year (7th most) but it's concentrated in 6 picks. Fitty has mentioned multiple times how important it was to keep 39. Unless they have a round 1 talent sitting there (unlikely most teams have about 15 guys with a true round 1 grade each draft) I think we wanted to keep it to move back a bit in the second and recoup some capital. Without further adieu here is a break down of each selection 1- Young, best prospect in the draft at most important position 2- Sanders, best off ball LB in the draft, can also rush the passer, would be the starter next to Shaq at ILB on our new defense 3- Mingo, underrated WR prospect, one of the few guys in this draft with the size and potential to be a true 'X' WR, obvious need as well 4- Rush, local guy addresses CB #3 spot and I believe could eventually be a very good #2 CB in this league fits the size requirements we look for in CB 5- Young, developmental edge who provides immediate pass rush ability on third and long 6- Kuntz, one of the best developmental prospects (go look at his RAS) in the draft at TE (a position that notoriously does not contribute right away) 7 Wooden, DL depth 8- Mitchell, a change of pace back that would contribute on third down
