  1. Drew Brees didn't have the best arms ever and he's one of the best to ever play. You didn't need a bazooka and arm strength was never the reason he was drafted. again I wanted Stroud at 1 but what's done is done, I for one would rather cheer for my team than just constantly poo on them. If Bryce is god awful next year at least we have our first round pick
  2. buddy all you have to do is click on my post history to realize how much I dislike David Tepper
  3. I mean he is going to be forced to watch our tape from this year of a pack of panthers getting fuged every sunday
  4. Yall are shitting on OP but it is pretty heavily rumored that Baltimore tried to trade for Burns at this trade deadline and the fit makes a lot of sense for both sides. We send Burns to the AFC, Baltimore gets some much needed young talent on their edge, and since their first would be late they would like have to send us a future second and maybe like this year's fourth rounder.
  5. This going to sound like a homer pick but credit where credit is due, hiring Canales before Slowik and Johnson announced they were returning looks like a stroke of genius right now.
  6. I want everyone to hear this loud and clear. We are *NOT* going to be good next year. There are just too many holes on this roster and not enough draft capital/cap space will be available to fix everything. So if we win 5-6 games, I will actually consider that a huge improvement. Please, I am begging you guys to give Canales at least until year three to see what's he got. That actually coincides with our Bryce timeline very well because if we aren't good by year three it will be time to start anew ....again.
  7. this is fair. I'd put tier one WRs as: Hill, Cupp, Jefferson, Chase, Adams, AJ Brown Tier 2: CeeDee, Stefon Diggs, aiyuk, Samuel, Armon Ra St. Brown, Mike Evans, Keenan Allen Tiet 3: Moore, Mclaurin, DK Metcalf, Jaylen Waddle, Godwin, Locket, Puka, Wilson, Olave, D. Smith, Tee Higgins, Mike Williams, Pittman TBH there are a TON of good WR's in the NFL right now, any of the above names would be an instant upgrade for us by a multitude of factors lmao
  8. Once we get aside all the grow 6 inches and add 60 lbs of muscle jokes I think he needs to work on his footwork. It was getting very sloppy towards the end of the year, likely because he was so used to taking hits
  9. I honestly don't understand this question, people who work under me?
  10. i mean yea ultimately but Tepper has ZERO business interfering with their day to day work
  11. PFT said it best regarding Tepper He came in and wanted to be the rogue that did things 'his' way. He got embarassed. So he leaked to the press that he was taking a step back but in reality he is still going to do things 'his way'. He will get embarassed again and hopefully by the third time he'll realize he actually needs to take a step back
  12. There is zero chance in hell Tepper would move on from Young after his rookie year in a season from hell. The Panthers still believe Young is a franchise QB. You don't have to agree with that but the absolute earliest I could see us moving on from Young is if we are the worst team in football again next year and it just so happens a guy is coming out worthy of the first overall pick and even then I think they would try to trade the pick
  13. Interesting, I've warmed up to him the past couple weeks. he definitely was not my first choice. My gut tells me that both Johnson and Slowik told us no thanks under the table and Tepper/Morgan just said fug it and went for Canales. That being said, can we please give this guy some grace to build our football team? We have our first round pick next year. Let this process play out for a bit instead of crucifying him when we don't have a good season next year (we likely won't no matter who was hired)
  14. Hurts looked terrible in the TB playoff game the year before he led them to a Superbowl.
  15. further if Vrabel is able to bring in Arthur Smith at OC sign me up. Guy is a good offensive coordinator and there is obvious history and synergy there unlike the disaster that was this season
  16. Vrabel is my number one choice for HC Johnson is 2, Slowik 3, MacDonald 4, Raheem Morris 5, Monken 6, probably Canales 7 and maybe Frank Smith 8
  17. i mean dude you could have said the same thing about Hurts a few years ago but ok 1- Mahomes 2- Allen 3- Lamar 4- Burrow 5- Herbert 6- Dak 7- Stroud 8- Hurts 9- Stafford 10- Lawrence vs. Murray vs. Love vs. Tua Could easily see Bryce with an exceptional year being number 10 on that list. I'm not saying it's going to happen, it likely won't, but to say it's impossible is weird behavior for a Panthers fan
  18. oh of course of course. I'm saying he has the *potential* to get there. Or at very minimum a consistent top 3 QB
  19. I think drafting someone like Jordan Morgan (OT Arizona) is not off the table, I would try to sign a guard in FA, and I think our third or fourth round pick should be a center. I *know* we desperately need help at WR and edge opposite burns but it doesn't matter what we do unless we fix this line first. Ickey not taking a step forward really really fuging sucks
  20. we will see but he just put together what I consider the best rookie season ever
  21. I think this is the pill that's hardest to swallow. I know this board is very down on Bryce but I don't think he's as bas as this year suggests. But CJ has shown some best QB in the league type stuff this year. I think at his best Bryce could be a fringe Top 10 QB. At this best CJ may be the best QB in the league. It doesn't help that I really wanted Stroud
  22. I'm all on board with MacDonald as HC, I would be interested to see his OC would be though
  23. I am conflicted. On the one hand it's not a shock Dan Morgan is being considered. He hasn't just been in Carolina, he's been around the block and is respected in the league and was thought to be an up and coming GM candidate. Further just because he served under a regime that failed doesn't mean he will. Brandon Beane is an obvious example of this. Finally, I think Dan knows our culture and can at least help Tepper from continuing to self sabotage things in Carolina. on the other hand I was just really looking forward to a clean start
