  1. really encouraging to hear about Darnold. He is basically a rookie in my mind and really needs to be coached up as if he is just starting in this league. Start with fundamentals build on those and advance as tolerated.
  2. I mean it's not hard to imagine Darnold significantly improving just by leaving the Jets. The question is flat out is he better than Justin Fields? If he isn't we made the wrong choice.
  3. Wouldn't be a bad option to look at, but some team can probably pay him more to play his natural position
  4. the rare power move of quoting your own post to say a punchline. Love it.
  5. Have to be at least 2-2 after that stretch as the Jets and Hou are not likely to be good this year, esp early in the year for the Jets. At dallas will be a tougher game than a lot on this board will give it credit for. Dallas' offense is going to be nice next year. Hopefully Sam and the gang are geling by that point because I could see a shootout happening. NOLA is obviously always tough, but even with Brees the Saints have kinda had some slow starts these past few years. We might be able to sneak one out from them before they start clicking.
  6. removing the homer glasses what he says is pretty concerning
  7. Two things: Overall this team is headed in the right direction, we seem to finally have a GM who is in tune with modern analytics, and a coach who is by all regards a great people person and values athleticism. We have moved on from Hurney switching d2 players positions and Rivera who thinks it's still 1985. This next year however all depends on Darnold and I'm still not convinced he is the one. He has all the talent in the world but his propensity for turnovers is extremely concerning. I'm not sure he is fixable. I would LOVE to be proven wrong.
  8. wow it's almost like we knew signing Teddy was a terrible decision from the jump
  9. Hurney would have drafted this man in round 1 had Brian Burns not been there. Let that one sink in for a minute.
  10. I mean I think at the point of the end of the sixth/seventh round it isn't as much drafting for talent as it much as it is securing the UDFAs you want. the longsnapper was going to be in high demand I suspect
  11. David Moore is a STEAL. He could potentially be a center in the future with obvious guard flexibility. Some highly regarded draft analyst had a day 2 grade on him. Furher rhule and co knows him well from the senior bowl
  12. Unless we go QB in round 1 next year you can bet your bottom dollar we are going to try to trade back in round 1 next year, esp if we are not picking in the top ten again. Again Fitts probably has ~15 round one grades per year but loads of round 2/3 grades. Esp missing our second next year we will look to recoup capital
  13. Again the Panthers had Cosmi, Little and Christensen all VERY closely ranked on their board per John Ellis' source, probably all with a day 2/roud 2 grade. To fall back and still get Marshall and Christensen and the additional bonus of a untapped potential at TE? That's an absolute win. Further the Houston trade was highway robbery.
  14. Yea we are finally an analytically forward thinking team. It feels good man
  15. Fair, I disagree in that I think the drop from Eichenberg/Cosmi to Christensen is negligible and Christensen tested off the charts in terms of RAS.
  16. First off this was the best draft in Panthers history Second, who is this mystery anchor left tackle in the second you keep mentioning
  17. totally agree. Fields was number two overall on my board though
  18. Basically if Fields becomes Deshaun Watson we become the new bears
  19. yea Moore is a luxury pick but he's damn good, won't be mad with him at all
  20. I'd be shocked if we traded up, I think a trade down is highly likely. I bet we are eyeing Richie Grant hard
  21. I'd LOVE to have Sherman mentor Horn. It would be a match made in heaven imo
