  1. we can only hope people doubt Bryce Young bc of his height. He is the best QB prospect in this draft That being said I think Houston wants him and may even trade up to 1 to get him
  2. I'd much prefer Brissett over Carr due to price and I don't believe the talent gap is a large as some people would point out. Like the difference between the 10-12 best QB in the league vs. the 15-17th no matter what though we HAVE to get a rookie QB. we have kicked this can down the road for FAR too long
  3. totally agree on your point about not precluding us from taking a QB next year No matter who we draft this year, if we're bad enough to be in the top 3 next year I'm taking Maye or Williams and figuring the rest out later
  4. This is pretty much a dream first four picks for me.
  5. I mean that's great and I would be ecstatic with a rookie too. But a rookie is likely going to cost us about as much draft capital and is an unknown whereas lamar is a 26 yr old former MVP
  6. If you're telling me I get Lamar Jackson for two first round picks (regardless of the size of the contract) I'm sprinting to that deal. It makes so much sense for us.
  7. YES dude I have been saying for years that Gettleman was actually a good GM. Did he rub people the wrong way? Yea. Did he make good football decisions? For the most part yes which is more than you can say for a lot of GMs
  8. That until we find a franchise QB we will be irrelevant. You would think this is actually a popular opinion but there are actually human beings who don't think going after Bridgewager, Darnold and Baker were bad moves even in hindsight. Matt Rhule set this franchise back YEARS with his terrible management and decision making. Again this should be a popular opinion but it is debated
  9. I'm hoping the Texans fall in love with Levis. That would only help the Panthers
  10. Names that grab my attention Lamar Jackson QB- obvious choice is obvious Jessie Bates FS- we've never had a true FS with his talent. S isn't as valued as it once was in the NFL but someone will pay him bigtime and I don't think it will be use Daron Payne DL- underrated player that could be a starter on a great d-line. think he would make a nice pairing next to brown Bradberry CB- reunion tour boys, should have never let him go tbh Evan Engram TE- loads of potential, played p well this year Bobby Okereke LB- knows Reich, solid player that is on the up and up, kind like Luvu Mike Gesicki TE- not really a fan, I mention him bc I see a lot of love for him but i don't really see it Yannick DE- good stop gap for a one year deal to play opposite Burns Juan Thornill S- again I think we need to address safety this offseason, I think Chinn is better suited at LB Poona Ford DL- need another DT next to Brown I think he's a good player insane that Bozeman is not on this list lol
  11. I mean if the Bears don't trade out of 1 I'd be fine to trade to three. The problem is right now I feel like we need to get into the top 2 to get Young or Stroud anyone else isn't worth trading up for
  12. we need the draft picks to replete talent on our team and it's time you guys started realizing smart teams garner draft picks
  13. I mean I would do that if I were the Bears. That being said Sapp is talking out of his ass here. Could it happen? Of course. Does Warren Sapp have insider info? unlikely
  14. Isn't OP the guy who has "quit" the Panthers in like five different own post threads
  15. I am 100% completely and utterly ok with us doing more than the "bare minimum" to upgrade QB This offseason. Just like we should have still drafted Fields after getting Darnold. You 100% should be ok drafting one at 9 even if you get one in FA or via trade. Only exception is if we trade for Lamar, then we won't a.) have draft picks and b.) won't need a QB
  16. If its true he is available for a third fuging send it. That way you're in a good spot at 9 no matter what. If stroud falls you still fuging draft him at 9. If none of the top guys are there you say ok and take the best edge available.
  17. agreed. Hurts would not have succeeded here. and I'm a Hurts fan. We've just been so god damn awful
  18. tight end is so deep this year and such a pressing need I think a good one will be available in the second
  19. I just really don't want to give up a first rounder for him
  20. I think he will a lot of these GMs will fall in love with him and think they've got the next Josh Allen. Fine by me give me Stroud all day over him
  21. According to this: https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart.asp trade value chart. the Bears pick is worth 3000 while pick 9 is worth 1350, number 40 is worth 500 and number 60 is 300. That only gets us to 2150. Would likely take next years first as well. That's if there is no bidding war. If Chicago was smart they would leverage us against Indy and only trade down to 4 and be all but guaranteed either Anderson or Carter I bet Bears fans are absolutely salivating at the possibilities right now but I wouldn't jump the gun if I were them. It's very rare for a team to trade up to #1 overall. Jacksonville tried like crazy to trade out of the 1 spot last year and no one would bite. I think teams in general are getting smarter about not hemorrhaging future picks.
