  1. TBH a front of Ashawn playing like he did yesterday, Clowney, Brown and Wonnum is not a bad base. Add in a top flight rookie, a later round pick at edge and hopefully a true NT and we may be decent
  2. I don't really see the downside of playing Bryce. (and yes I have heard the draft compensation argument and tbh I don't think he has much trade value anyway) Just play him and see what we've got My theory on why Canales won't announce him at the starter is two fold: a.) he doesn't want Bryce to feel the pressure of having to be the franchise savior b.) he's showing the team no one is above evaluation
  3. The guy from Penn St, James Pierce and this guy would all be good picks IMO. Anyone that can rush the passer is my pick for round 1
  4. after the last few years we desperately need to get rid of the stink of this organization. Winning helps that. Also if there was any draft where it probably doesn't matter having the top overall maybe even top 5 overall pick it's this one. This draft is not great at top end talent. It's a lot of normal first and second round grade guys IMO
  5. It's because we have become so reactionary. Every week a new team is the worst team in the league or someone else is falling apart and next week they are superbowl contenders. They don't wait for rookies to develop because they want the immediate Russel Wilson seahawks success and starting the timeline of a championship team as early as possible due to the value of rookie QB contracts
  6. The internet at large has lost the ability to have any nuance. It's ok to evaluate Bryce and come away with the conclusion that while he looks much better than weeks 1 to 2, he still hasn't proven he's a franchise QB. Both can be true statements. My thing is at this point, just play him, we either find out we have something or we don't. It's not like were missing out on a top flight QB this draft anyway. Now come 2026 it will be decision time on if he's the future or not
  7. You can question a lot of things about Bryce but from literally everything I've ever heard or read the guy works very hard behind the scenes. I mean his preparation for games at Alabama was so impressive that apparently Fitterer and co had to cut him off when he got to like Wednesday or something. He does seem like a genuinely nice person so it's easy to root for him because god can you imagine how reviled he would be if he was Jimmy Clausen
  8. I really like Chuba, this is a fair deal for both sides and I think it's important as an organization to send a message that we retain our home grown talented players who do the right things. FURTHER and what I haven't seen yet is: A few years ago we decided not to trade Burns and instead of signing him RIGHT THEN we waited and ultimately took a big loss on the compensation. We clearly learned from that. If you aren't going to trade someone then re-sign them. That is good business in my mind.
  9. I'm actually excited to see what Dan can do with all our picks in this upcoming draft. Hoping that while the top flight talent doesn't look great it is a deep draft where we can find quality starters and backups
  10. I'm starting to like what I'm seeing from the penn state DE, also speaks to my point of trading down to acquire a future first if someone is dumb enough
  11. agreed defense has to be focus of the upcoming draft
  12. well thank god XL was technically a first round pick!
  13. Who says you can't have a good jump scare after halloween ends? But in all seriousness I can't believe we got a fourth for him
  14. Ickey at LT and Brady as Center / Swing position player is more valuable to our team IMO
  15. That's fair but signing a veteran like Justin Fields to a one year deal and drafting defense with our first is always an option two. I personally don't think these QBs this year are top 10 worthy selections
  16. Saints subreddit basically views Bryce as a hero lmao
  17. Oh don't get me wrong I don't think Bryce is the longterm answer by any means. But people want us to draft Cam ward 1 overall. I'd much rather build the team up this offseason
  18. well yea if they get something worthwhile for him than yes I'd pull the trigger but I can't see a team offering something high for him right now. Russini said on her pod we'd likely get more for him in the offseason anyway
  19. But it is funny to me that Chicago fans are finally realizing that Moore is closer to a WR 1/2 than a true blue number one WR I'm talking like AJ brown, JJ, Hill, Chase type WR. He isn't in that group. He probably isn't even in the group after that. he's likely the 15 best WR in the league or so (which is good!) but Chicago fans acted like they got prime Jerry Rice from us
  20. Honestly though a WR trio of DJ Moore, Coker and XL would be lethal. That being said he just signed a contract extension in Chicago. He would have to be traded and I highly doubt there will be a reunion in Carolina
  21. The bottom line is bryce looks vastly better than weeks 1 and 2 and there is no reason to not play him moving forward. There is no downside. If he starts sucking again we are right back where we are right now. But if he can continue to improve (even if he will never be a top 10 QB) we can build the team around him and bide our time till the right QB becomes available.
  22. At this point every win feels like winning a playoff game so I don't blame people for being excited
  23. I got banned from that subreddit a long time ago for saying that Marty Hurney was stupid for giving out two giant runningback contracts so glad to see they are still delusional
  24. I'm not going to tolerate Chuba slander on here. Guy has done nothing but work his ass of since getting here. When he first started he was a timid runner who always went down on first contact. Yesterday he had a game winning touchdown run on a cutback where he broke multiple tackles
