  1. Who is/are the "spin doctor/s" within the Panthers organization? Does he/she/they/them have a name/s?
  2. What could they say that would satisfy you? Wasn't "joking" and nothing funny about it...absolutely pitiful fan behavior (really quite ironic coming from Bobcats "fans")...bullying at its finest. Whatever happened to common decency Again, other than "the team has parted ways with Matt Rhule" what could they possibly say to pacify you? Anything?
  3. How does this phenomena manifest itself in real life? Rhule clearly hasn't been insulated at all, in fact, he spoke at some length about how all the negativity affects his family, etc...
  4. The thing is Rhule went on WFNZ (twice in same day no less) with absolutely no preset conditions or list of questions --- that's the opposite of "spin".
  5. As much as I dislike Sizzles posts.. I believe he's trying to say that those are the minority owners. Not that they are the ones that specifically wanted Tomlin fired. The wording is a little tricky. I guess it's up for interpretation. Exactly. "...the minority owners planning to lobby Rooney to fire Tomlin come from a group that includes..." The article then lists 13 minority owners...could have been any of them, or none of them for that matter.
  6. “PITTSBURGH -- Some Steelers "limited partners" want Art Rooney II to fire head coach Mike Tomlin, according to Pro Football Talk. Pro Football Talk, citing a source with direct knowledge of the situation, reported that the minority owners planning to lobby Rooney to fire Tomlin come from a group that includes Rob Citrone, Paul Evanson, Larry Paul, Stephen Paul, Bruce Rauner, Paul Sams, John Stallworth, Benjamin Statler, Scott Swank, David Tepper, Thomas Tull, Peter Varischetti, and Mike Wilkins.” ====================== Read that closely…
  7. Too funny... ...a 4-season playoff drought is absolutely nothing...from a Panthers perspective...and especially from an NFL perspective! Panthers went 6-seasons from 1997-2002...and had a 4-year miss from 2009-2012 which was part of a 1-for-7 run in 2006-2012. In terms of NFL history fully 21 teams have 10-SEASON (or more) playoff droughts...the Buc's and Jets twice each, and the Lions 3 times! "7-years" might not be so bad
  8. Just learnin’ about Cuba, and having some food… Had to look up Phil Swift, good one Missed your interview but will listen to the rewind and give you some feedback
  9. Cut, paste… …rinse, repeat Take another 7-week sabbatical pal, your 382,908 post lead will not be at risk …
  10. "....waah, waaah, WAAAAAH..." -- Gone Guys™, Jan. '22 --
  11. Wilson certainly isn't pulling any punches Fortunately his dumb*ss partner failed to show up for work again today and in his absence Big Boy can be tolerable to almost good depending on the moment... ...and again, clearly no pre-scripted questions here -- Wilson making him squirm some @ellis
  12. Hey if you're gonna be a bear may as well be a Grizzly
  13. Have a little new news there for you Seems the Panthers have cut the rack-rate on 2022 PSL's that are bought directly from them by about 20% vs. the prices going into 2021. I checked the gap between some rack rates and what they are being offered for on PSL Marketplace and some of the differences are eye-popping Some upper-deck PSL's with a $5K rack rate are being offered between .10c and .17c on the $1 ($500 and $875). The $10K rack-rate PSL's are being offered for ~.40c on the $1...can't tell if any are actually trading at that level. Today total-listings sit at 657 (highest since we started keeping track) and # of seats 1,621 (about 25 below the peak). We'll keep you posted...
  14. As posts full of facts... ...hmm, who woulda thunk it
  15. He's the Owner, not the GM or the Coach. Mac & Bonehead runs a sports talk show, it's not an investing or business ops discussion. Tepper leaves the football decisions, and football talk, to the football people. You might catch him on Bloomberg News or some other similar business related programming soon, stay tuned.
  16. What you describe is taking place on a large scale basis in Jacksonville. You should take the lead and organize the effort, exhibit the can-do attitude, loud and proud...give the kids something to look up to
  17. Now this IS interesting...Wilson is a complete fool and by comparison he's like Albert Einstein when Norfleet (noticeably absent, hasn't been on the show lately) enters the equation! Rhule said he "spoke with David twice Monday, twice again on Tuesday, etc"...so this notion that he and Tepper "haven't spoken" can be dismissed -- just not how The Model works. Clearly they are not operating off any kind of script or pre-approved questions...good for both sides. As for Tepper, you guys have unrealistic expectations...and let's be honest with each other here -- regardless of what Mr. Tepper might say, Gone Guys® won't be happy @ellis
  18. So what are the odds that Tepper: A. Allows the Panthers PR Group put Rhule out on this limb after vetting and putting limits on this interview... ...AND... B. Then he (Tepper) turns around and fires Rhule after the fact?
  19. What have we disagreed on? I too think it will be interesting but am surprised they would agree to "boundaries", or even discuss them for that matter. Bonehead is a bit of a bonehead but neither of them are wired to be rude to a guest, especially the Head Ball Coach of the Panthers... ...no "boundaries" necessary. The morons who follow Mac & Bonehead...completely different story.
  20. Yeah, I would tend to agree with this. Especially with the Panthers PR group. You believe the Panthers will require Mac & Bonehead to submit questions in advance, and stick to a script, as conditions of Rhule doing an interview on WFNZ? Really?
