Night and day between Panther and Canes home games
SizzleBuzz replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
PLS Update: Today 836 PSL’s available representing 2,071 seats… …down from 860 and 2,134 last Wednesday. This represents 2.77% of all seats and 3.34% of seats attached to a PSL. Conclusion: The fans who actually put their money on the line and pay the bills aren’t going anywhere… …all the pearl-clutching & gnashing of teeth having zero impact on Panthers business operations. -
I mean it's a hatred so deeply rooted and hitherto unknown to the people of this area... ...but destined to take the place of the mudshark in your mythology ...

Nonsense. He owned stakes in both prior to trying to make a laughable and ham-handed pass at the Panthers . He did slightly increase his stake in the umbrella company that owns both but is not in a control position of any sort. True or otherwise, this assertion is 100% irrelevant to the -race for the Panthers in 2018. Did he get green ?? Whoah Nelly ...I thought the other owners had already teed-up Byron Allen to buy that team? Is this no longer the case? So what? Do you have a point? If Byron Allen is no longer the presumed front-runner I thought Robert F. Smith would be next to be "courted"...what's up with that? As for Walton and Tepper -- I fail to see the connection? Please explain how the NFL bringing Walton into the fold would somehow indicate the League (owners & Commish) have come to the conclusion allowing Tepper to buy a team was a bad idea?

Not actually true. Other bidders had the funds. As I recall, Tepper actually would have been the lowest bidder. Unfortunately for us, he was who the NFL wanted so we're stuck with the Horsesh-t Model on hand and some sort of contrived "net-worth" number are two completely different animals... ...there was one thoroughbred in the race... ...and a whole bunch of ... The other "bidders" didn't have the funds to close so what they may or may not have bid is not relevant... ...there was only one legit bid with funding in place & ready to close .

Navarro didn't have the requisite funds to transact for a team in the National Football League... ...maybe he could handle a soccer team . Also, given the hate so many have for Tepper and his pedigree of being a former Goldman Sachs yankee hedge-fund owning billionaire with a plaque of brass balls (a gift from a grateful client BTW)... ...you'd really despise Navarro once learned how he made the money he does have (and don't be fooled, he's a yankee transplant just like Tepper).
