  1. You have a good chance of being proven correct....
  2. Flipside, when was the last time an NFL player forced his way out and it worked well for either or both sides? "Big" free agents are as rare as hen's teeth and it's not like the Texans were one of a small handful of desired locations in the first place --- McNair gives no f**** on that front.
  3. Akin to a guy who has $1 compared to the dude who is flat broke? Neither have any leverage...
  4. Preach. 40% is low... Deshaun cannot afford to sit out.
  5. Tepper kind of used Reid as a pawn in order to make a statement and then dumped him with multiple contract years left when the new Coach wasn't on board...would be interesting to know what Reid thinks.
  6. Has to be something specific that teams want no part of... ...one day it will probably come out.
  7. Disagree. Most guys understand a contract comes with obligations... ...Deshaun doesn't seem to want to live up to his.
  8. Correct. However, when emotions/tensions run high people often make rash/irrational decisions... ...McNair can afford to hold Deshaun accountable --- Deshaun cannot afford to sit out.
  9. Familiar with the term "f*** you money"? McNair has it... ...Deshaun doesn't. In addition, McNair has proven to be somewhat irrational/unpredictable. Anyone who completely discounts the possibility that McNair might call Deshaun's bluff is doing faulty analysis.
  10. That's funny too There is nothing "mutual" about this...Deshaun is acting like a whiny bitch making a demand, will be interesting to see if it is met.
  11. The sum of all that is quite funny... As for the highlighted text, Watson's no-trade clause specifically restricts the Texans' ability to "pick the highest bidder"... ...but, at this point it appears Deshaun wants out at all costs so he will likely accept a trade to the highest bidder even if they are a less than palatable franchise vs. invoking the NTC which he may have done in more normal times.
  12. Wins & losses is all that matters... ...like Pat Riley in Miami, Air Dolt has had full-control since 2006.
  13. Again, if Watson didn't want to be traded the no-trade clause would have meaningful inherent value... ...in that he's absolutely pining to get out -- the no-trade clause is virtually worthless.
  14. Mr. Scot wishes he could be a source instead he is the Debbie downer of the huddle. #Cut&Paste
  15. What is your definition of a "solid source"? Could you provide 3 or 4 names as an illustration of such?
  16. The Falcons would logically be his top choice... ...why didn't you include them?
  17. You're exactly right. Problem is the Texans have no obligation to trade him... ...in fact, they'd prefer he stay. The first immutable law of any negotiation is the party who has the least interest in consummating a deal has the upper hand... ...apparently this is lost on just about everyone. #Negotiations101
  18. A "no-trade clause" is quite valuable to a player who does not want to be traded... ...it is basically worthless to a player does want to be traded. Virtually nobody seems to get this...that this is the case it truly baffling.
