  1. Don't confuse a complete dolt, for a bully....LOL.
  2. Makes a LOT more sense than the Texans shipping DW under any circumstances...
  3. If this is "home" to any top NFL QB it is R-Wil hissef....
  4. Perfect recap of the reasons the Texans will never consider parting ways with Watson.
  5. Either case is completely irrelevant... ...Watson is not available.
  6. Recap: 1. Texans contract w/ DW is ironclad, he's locked up thru 2025. 2. There is no scenario where Texans are better off without DW vs. with him. 3. Texans have no obligation to trade DW. 4. Texans won't trade DW. 5. DW does not have the stones to walk from $146,540,000. The End.
  7. Incisive analysis of anything, at all... ...isn't Tre's gig. Literally everything he says should be discounted, and significantly so...
  8. Long-range talk is cheap. As time passes the cost increases dramatically... ...let's see how resolute he is when real economic consequences are looming.
  9. Players also have to buy in for a franchise to be successful. Don’t see that happening if they refuse to trade him... I don't believe Deshaun is a malcontent (like James Harden) who will come in and dog it and act like a jerk... ...but you never know!
  10. Can't win the big without a "franchise QB"... ...it is in the Texans' best interests to retain Deshaun.
  11. You are simply rationalizing what you want... ...your interests don't align with the best interests of the Texans.
  12. Are you suggesting Deshaun would commit acts of moral turpitude along the lines of James Harden? Wow. The only one doing any hostage holding right now is Deshaun himself! (#NeverPayRansom) Clearly you are not a Texans fan or resident of Houston/TX...the last thing they want to see is Deshaun moved.
  13. Last 10 Seasons: NY Jets = 0 divisions win, 0 playoff appearances/games. Texans = 6 AFC South titles, 6 playoff appearances, 10 playoff games. The NY Jets are where playing and coaching careers go to die.
  14. He won't retire. That said...if one were to do some decision-tree analysis and assign probabilities to 3 possible outcomes... 1. Call his bluff and he retires. 2. Call his bluff and he comes back to collect $146,540,000. 3. Trade him for who knows what. ...the clear outcome of choice would be #2. I fully expect the Texans to choose door #2.
  15. Unless that is you love playing football which clearly Ben does. He's building a bitchin' new pad on Lake Oconee right now...
  16. In no particular order it seems the top-5 QB's in the NFL are: Watson (age 25), Mahomes (25), Wilson (32), Rodgers (37), Brady (43). Watson is actually 3 days younger than Mahomes and they are the 2 highest paid players in the NFL -- Mahomes has already defined himself as a generational talent, Watson has the potential to do so. Viewed through a 10-year lens the only two known QB's with a chance to perform at a level equal to Watson & Mahomes are Wilson & T-Law...and that assumes Russ plays into his 40's and T-Law develops accordingly, both huge question marks... ...the odds of the Texans EVER getting another QB of Watson's calibre are almost nil --- why the f*** would they ever agree to trade him? Put another way, if Watson takes it to the limit and decides to quit the game the Texans are in the same place as if they traded him -- nowhere.
  17. Exactly. Gentlemanly negotiations done in private and respectfully don't generate "a single article". JJ's video is a clear window into how it went down, you're blind. Going MIA, demanding a trade, refusing to return phone calls & emails, threatening to sit out, posting cryptic twitter blips, etc... ...this is the sort of selfish, low-road/low-rent aberrant behavior which generates a media firestorm of speculation --- the vast majority of it with no basis in fact!! Texans made the guy the 2nd highest paid QB in the entire NFL and this is how he thanks them... ...clearly someone is giving a good kid some very bad advice.
  18. Great stuff, thanks. The guy who wants out caves on the no-trade-clause...who knew?!? No mention of Fitterer, hmm. There's a lead horse here, look for the spotted coat... 2nd time today I've seen the subject of fines discussed...while not mandatory, OTA's aren't too far off. Texans certainly do appear resolute...
  19. Did you watch the video JJ posted on his twitter account? (linked above) Pretty much says it all...
  20. He didn't "tell them" to do anything. He's a 10-year vet on the downside of his career and he politely requested they let him out of the last year of his contract --- in no way, shape or form does that constitute a "demand". The McNair family recognized the benefits to both parties and this combined with JJ's exemplary behavior and dedication over the last decade, as well as the gentlemanly way he approached the situation, lead the McNair's to agree to his request. For some reason you're willfully conflating two very different situations and representing them as the same as if you don't understand the difference --- I bet you keenly understand the difference between a "demand" and a polite request when speaking with your wife I have a hunch someone with very poor judgement has weaseled their way into Deshaun's inner circle and he's listening to their bad advice... ...taking the low road in this way really seems out of character for him.
