  1. He hasn't weighed in on anything about Watson or even the QB situation since December. There's no chance he's going to say a word now Yet the all-seeing/knowing Verge has says Tepper "won't rest" until until Watson is wearing Panthers colors... ...so it must be true that Tepper is calling the show because he sees/knows all.
  2. I've never seen the work of people who know what they're doing be improved upon by asking for advice from someone who doesn't. Hey who does Fitterer report to?
  3. Understood and mostly agreed. That said, OP said "never before" has a top-QB been on the trading block like this --- at the time of his trade Bledsoe had recently signed the first $100,000,000 contract in NFL history and played in a Super Bowl...analogous situation. [Assumes Watson was ever on the trading block -- I don't believe he was.]
  4. That was 6 months before DW signed his new contract. Why did DW commit himself to sticking around for an additional 4 years if things are so bad?
  5. It's an interesting wrinkle you broach there... ...did the Texans know? Obviously some of the allegations are a year-old, wonder when Buzbee first reached out to DW on the matter?
  6. LMAO... Bledsoe signed the largest contract in NFL history in 2001 and was traded 1-year later... ...the NFL does not hand out the biggest-ever-contract for players who are "nowhere near the prime of their career"... ...stop with the revisionist history already pal.
  7. yeah matter of fact i've seen him play in person at Bank of America Stadium.but what is your point? You said: "this is like literally one chance in a lifetime. there has never been in the history of football a. QB like DeShaun Watson in his prime on the trading block" -------------- Drew Bledsoe was the #1 draft-pick (DW #12) and a Super Bowl QB (DW is not) and had been recently signed to the single largest contract in NFL history... ...when he went onto the trading block. At this point DW hasn't even achieved footnote staus as it goes to the "history of football"....LOL.
  8. Agreed. All American citizens are constitutionally entitled to due process as well as the presumption of innocence. Anyone saying DW is guilty of anything criminal at this point is out of line, for sure... ...that said, he's done himself no favors with his aberrant behavior over the last 6-months -- lots of folks aren't inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt.
  9. I think it's very much apropos to the discussion. Doesn't matter if it's a politician, businessman, movie director, actor, athlete or what. So it's fair to introduce Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby into the discussion too? Both will die in prison despite none of their accusers ever filing a police report at the time of the incident in question...
  10. It's only been 4-days since the news hit... ...you predicting all of DW's sponsors will stay put?
  11. https://www.bostonglobe.com/2021/03/20/sports/why-deshaun-watson-should-rescind-his-trade-request-remain-with-texans/ Hopefully that remains an option for him...
  12. It only takes one. What do you not get? I have never said innocent or guilty. I have never said the women are lying, or that they aren't lying. I have simply stated that until it plays out with facts in court, that we do not know and that anything is possible. Presuming guilt or innocence without it playing out is dangerous. The only side I am on is justice, and that will come soon enough. If Watson is guilty, he should face consequences. If he is innocent, those women should face consequences. If anybody is behind this, that person should face consequences. What is so hard about waiting for all of the facts? Well said.
  13. He's a whacky dude... ...but is brilliant and has secured $1-billion+ worth of settlements for his clients over time. He's the real deal. Has lots of critics but would be the first phone call for most of the critics should they find themselves in a pinch where he could help...
  14. By dragging ostensible rape victims into the court of public opinion? Depleting the earning potential of your projected judgment debtor? No, please explain.... LOL... All Buzbee's clients are 100% in agreement with the tactics being employed. If a settlement is reached it won't hinge on "earnings potential"... ...he'll either write some checks and be done with it, or he'll be in jail... ...OR, he'll be on the other side and collecting checks -- now that part definitely could hinge on "earnings potential" -- and the expectations there should be low!!
  15. You do realize these complaints specifically request jury trials? Are you aware of the the insane level of success Buzbee has had in this forum?
  16. Thank you SizzleBuzz. Although I often find myself disagreeing with your pro-corporate stances, I do think any discussion on this issue would be well served by people at least listening to and considering this. Cheers mate. I watched the video and nothing in it led me to believe DW shouldn't continue to be availed of the presumption of innocence... ...just another tile in the mosaic.
  17. You should probably check yourself there pal... ...while you may not like him or his demeanor, "this lawyer" is one of 3-or-4 of the very best in Texas and is personally worth about $700 million as a result of his incredible ability as a barrister. Your post is total nonsense, as nonsensical as in possible in the space of 2 sentences.
  18. You can watch it here and form your own opinions if you like: https://www.facebook.com/BigSargeSportz/videos/759982051324881/ Counselor Buzbee shows up about the 4-minute mark so go ahead and fast-forward to that point...
