Rhule is kind of a control freak. Pretty tough to imagine that working Completely disagree. Rhule values high performers with a monstrous work ethic over anything else... ...those 2 would be an incredible combination! . -

Sign him up. The man is a complete badass... ...he's Tepper's kinda guy. -
Business is business pal... You've already admitted you know absolutely nothing about hedge funds and since that's the truth, how could you possibly compare/contrast running a hedge-fund with an NFL franchise? Buddy you don't know jack-sh*t about football or anything else...you're just a cut & paste keyboard warrior...and gawdalmighty what a warrior you are!! As for the "Seahawks model"...please do describe exactly what you believe this to be. You've always maintained that only a traditional "football" model is ever successful in the NFL -- this implies an absentee owner, all-powerful GM, Coach who is subservient to the GM, etc... ...is this the "Seahawks model"? Fitterer reports to Rhule, right?
-
I know as much about hedge funds as you know about football. So we'll take that as none, no, no, no, and no. Obviously you're not an accredited investor. Our argument here isn't about "football"... ...it's about business operations. Tepper has 100% overlayed/installed the Appaloosa Model on/in the Panthers organization and this is perfectly clear to everyone, everywhere...except you Mr. Ostrich. In the other thread you did confirm that Fitterer reports to Rhule, right?
-
My understanding is Teddy had a total of $10,000,000 of guaranteed money left on his Panthers deal and that he's going to collect all of it -- that's not a pay cut. If I'm incorrect please do fill me in. Personally I hoped he wouldn't be traded but I certainly didn't guarantee it would never happen. I predicted Hurney would stick and when he didn't I was first-in taking credit for being wrong. This guy @Mr. Scot is a complete blowhard who is literally the single least-informed person on earth as it goes to how guys like Tepper go about conducting business... ...he is however a 1st ballot Hall of Famer as it goes to screen time and sheer volume of posts! (and we're talking a decade+ track record, Tom Brady like I tell ya!) Good onya Scot!
-
As you state, this is simply your opinion. I believe Tepper should be right down there in the weeds with Fitterer and Rhule and know he is...which I also know is painful for you. Tepper is the smartest guy in the room...declining to put his massive intellect to work on behalf of the team would be foolish...and Mr. David A. Tepper ain't no fool! #The AppaloosaWay

In Steelers land, Art Rooney is the final boss
SizzleBuzz replied to LinvilleGorge's topic in Carolina Panthers
Months ago when Fitterer was hired. Rhule himself acknowledged it, but said he wasn't going to act like a dictator. Really? I must have missed that. So you're confirming that Fitterer reports to Rhule? -

Does he? When/where was this confirmed? -
It was headline news 4 years ago! He owned it and learned from it, a life experience. If he was stupid enough to go out and get one with the draft hanging in the balance it would have an impact.

Well whadya know... -
Where's he going?
-
No worries, I didn't think you did. Where the coaches stand is open for debate but the fact is TB5 is under contract and until he's traded or cut remains part of the team. He's proven to be an exceptional backup...may as well keep him in that role
-
Exactly. Unlike some of the unstable malcontents mentioned above TB5 is level-headed professional, a team-first guy. As long as the checks are clearing he'll be present and giving 120%... ...given the injury and hurdles Teddy had to clear to return -- he's just happy to be in the league. This "toxic" nonsense is a false narrative fabricated by a clique with an agenda.
-
You keep him and let him compete for the starting job. I'd still trade Bridgewater. Ok, sounds good So if they don't pick Fields makes sense we set up the same scenario and have TB5 provide competition for Sam.
-
What happens to Darnold in that scenario?
-
If Fields is chosen seems to imply Panthers won't pick-up 5th year option on Darnold... ...he'd need to be shipped.

Patriots have talked to the Panthers about a draft day trade

Is Breer on your officially approved "insider" list? If he says it, is it so? -
Would the Panthers sign Lamar Jackson if the Ravens dump him?

And one playoff win, so? 28-25...1 playoffs win. 30-7...1 playoffs win. Which do you prefer?
