  1. Curry is Bryce's favorite basketball player, guess which NFL team is Curry's favorite? You see what I'm seeing?
  2. Exactly, there are two perspectives to a test. A positive correlation and a negative correlation. QBs who score high on the S2 TEND to succeed better in the NFL, and that's all the test is telling you. They don't release poor S2 scores of other players so we don't know if there is a negative correlation. Regardless, Bryce has set himself up to be the #1 pick. Let's go!
  3. Of course, it's only one small piece of the puzzle to his whole evaluation. But scoring highly is just more evidence to what you already knew about him. What if he actually bombed the S2 score but his tape is excellent? Does the S2 test have more significance now that it's negative? just asking.
  4. Of course no single test or score will explain everything. Bryce scoring high on this test just adds more evidence to what you already know about him. This is only one piece of the puzzle. A high S2 score alone doesn't guarantee success.
  5. I agree with this perspective. All of these posts about trying to knock Bryce for practicing for this test is ridiculous. If you knew that you were going to college, you know you have to take the SAT/ACT, so you're not going to prepare for it? Give credit where credit is due, just because you prepare for an exam doesn't guarantee success, these are high stakes exams and difficult tests to begin with.
  6. Probably similar to someone who is "Chief supervising officer of human sanitation" = janitor. I've seen people in big corporations literally come up with a new job title and role just to get their friends a job. Nepotism at its finest.
  7. All of these Bryce Young haters are being short-sighted...(pun intended). They can't look past his height and see his ceiling. Thank you, I'll be here all night...
  8. At this point, I've already lost interest in the Young vs Stroud debate. I'm sure they will pick Young. I'm more interested in who we'll select at #39, I think there is some legit talent at that pick and even more of a mystery! Let the #39 debate begin!
  9. I just find it funny and curious that he would back up Young or Stroud knowing that one of those 2 will be drafted by the Panthers. I know it's not going to happen since we already signed Dalton, but I would like to believe that he enjoyed playing and being with the Panthers. In honesty, I'm sure he still has the itch to play football but it may not be a bad idea to retire while healthy and invest into other things in the future.
  10. I agree with 70/30, Brain/Brawn. Jamarcus Russell was 1/99, brain/brawn, look how that turned out for him. Brock Purdy apparently scored the highest on the S2 test and I don't think he is physically empowering but he won a lot of games with SF.
  11. If Frank Reich can convince our staff and the fans that he can get this level of production from Stroud then I'm sold.
  12. The only reason why we are having this debate is because both Young and Stroud are great prospects. If there was only Young and no Stroud in this draft, it would be a no brainer to select Young and also vice versa for Stroud. I honestly believe that these 2 prospects will be pro bowl QBs in the near future. I think the biggest factor is Young's size and risk of injury that everyone is concerned about. If we play the scenario out that for the next 5 years these 2 QBs are guaranteed NOT to get injured at their respective height and weight, who would you pick? Lots of analysts would say Young for his skillset and this isn't anything against Stroud's skillset, Young is just that much better.
  13. I watched hours of draft analysts compare Young and Stroud. The biggest take away and I agree with their assessment is that Young is the better qb and if he was taller/bigger there wouldn’t even be a discuss about who is going first, that’s how good Young’s skill set is to even be considered #1 overall. Stroud is a great prospect and he gives me Dak Prescott vibes. He is mobile enough, a great passer, puts up great stats and numbers with good talent around him but he seems to lack the “it” factor like mahomes or Brady. I think Young has the “it” factor. The goal is to win super bowls not just make playoffs yearly. Would we be happy and settle for Dak production or go all in for Mahomes-lite, prime Russell Wilson when he won a Super Bowl? For me, it’s clear that my choice is Young, he has shown and proven that he is clutch in big games and has done more with less supporting cast. Stroud has won a lot of games but Ohio state always blew out a lot of their competition. I would support Stroud if he was the pick but actually disappointed if it wasn’t Young.
  14. They deserve each other! Jones seems arrogant, overrated, and is a dirty player (trying to injure Burns.) Bill also has a huge ego. We all know now that Tom Brady was the Patriot way and not Bill. Brady has taken Bucs to Super Bowl and playoffs his 2 seasons in Tampa, Bill hasn't accomplished anything since Brady left.
  15. I think this article shows how much this front office was actually handicapped by Rhule. It very much does feel like Fitterer was Rhule's yes man. Now that Rhule is gone, Fitt can really work his magic and results have been pretty good so far. I have the utmost confidence in this new staff even compared to previous successful regimes.
  16. I took Rivera's comments as he as the HC didn't really have an explanation or plan for their vision. I can see it that way given how Tepper wanted precise and detailed answers from Frank Reich about building his staff and vision for the QB position. I didn't take it as a slight against Tepper from Rivera.
  17. Smokescreen, Levis is bombing his interviews and Young is acing his. So....that means Panthers really want Levis and don't want Young? Is that how smokescreens work?
  18. At this point, I believe the Panthers know the secret access code/passwords to the US military nuclear program, they also know Putin and Kim Jong-Un's secret hide out, however they don't know who they are going to pick at #1 overall. I shook at magic 8 ball and it said "concentrate and ask again"
  19. That's two wide receiver signings because of our staff! Sanders coming here was also because of Duce from their time in Philly. I have all the confidence in the world that this staff knows what they are doing. Our staff gives us instant credibility already!
  20. As I said in another post, the devastating injuries are concussions and ACL tears. These type of injures don't have anything to do with size. Physical freaks have had ACL tears, Luke ended his career early because of concussions and they were all big physical specimens. I think Young can have a long career because he knows how to play the QB position to protect himself. His elite trait is pocket awareness, you can't avoid every single sack or pressure but having that awareness decreases those chances. Young doesn't even have an injury history, draft the prospect for what he can do. Don't avoid drafting him for things that he can't control and predict in the future, ex injuries.
  21. There is so much talk about Young being more prone to injury because of his size. But I think it's foolish to hold that against drafting him. Injuries are a part of the game and he will get injured guaranteed. The devastating injuries are concussions and ACL tears, your size has nothing to do with those type of injuries. Cam was a physical specimen at the QB position and his longevity is shorter than Drew Brees. I think Young's size concerns are a bit overblown, if you can play you can play. Young will be our Muggsy Bogues in the NFL!
