  1. Fitt out here measuring each OL's arm length, oh wait that was last regime's standards, or was it...?
  2. If I remember correctly, I think they had Mingo starting ahead of TMJ. It was Chark, Theilan, and then Mingo. Does this say more about how good Mingo is or how bad TMJ is?
  3. Our WRs will be a problem if they don't step up quick! It's already been mentioned in this short video how some of them don't even know how to run routes or there is miscommunication. Bryce absolutely needs a veteran WR to help him, I think he will rely on Theilan quite a bit.
  4. It may be preseason but damn, this team just shows poor execution and energy. Can't talk about being competitive when you're not even competitive in a preseason game. As the commentators mentioned earlier "no talent needed, just execution."
  5. Addition by subtraction. And we significantly added by subtracting Rhule. Our team played better once he was gone, I have a lot of confidence in our new staff this year. I honestly expect a .500 season or better and I don't think that's unrealistic!
  6. So you're saying that we have a QB that can actually get passes to our players now? Our receiving core aren't just incompetent from the past 5 years? Hmmmm....I guess a franchise QB makes a big difference?
  7. Actually quite ingenious to get the attention of the players to come talk to you! All the hollering and yelling for an autograph doesn't get their attention, but wearing enemy colors do. And maybe the dude is a closet Panthers fan?
  8. Matt Corral doesn't want to be #2 QB, as a competitor I'm sure he wants to be a starter. His opportunity to start just won't be with the Panthers.
  9. This is very similar to what Matt Corral is going through currently. Sure he was drafted by Fitt but under the Rhule regime. He got hurt, didn't get a chance to prove himself, drafted his replacement and now he is fighting for a backup job. Right time, right place, right opportunity absolutely matters in the NFL and it's unfortunate that a lot these players don't have any say in their career.
  10. Of course I will always take a playmaker QB over a playmaker WR, a great QB will have more impact than a great WR. Young played lights out with Jameson Williams and Metchie during his sophomore year and he continued to play well his junior year despite throwing to nobodies. Our current WR room is unproven outside of Theilan and I hope they just haven't been able to prove themselves because of poor QB play, I hope someone steps up this year. It's time for Terrace and Leviska to show up or get out!
  11. You're pointing out individual games that a receiver was shutdown, look at their season in it's entirety where they put up numbers and contributed to their team. Stud receivers are "game changers," they may not dominate every single game of the entire season but they make you game plan for them. No one on the Panthers WR needs to be game planned for, this makes it easier to shut down our offense.
  12. I think the biggest question mark about our WR room is that we don't have an alpha to take over games. Sure maybe we can spread the ball around but you need a clutch receiver to make the big plays when it matters most too. Allen without Diggs is nothing, Kirk without Jefferson is nothing, Mahomes without Kelce is above average. Even Rodgers without WRs is mediocre this past year and Rodgers is a HOF QB.
  13. When you've been suffocating for so long, even a breath of fart is welcome! We've been suffering for too long with poor coaching and QB play, I understand the enthusiasm.
  14. I wasn't living in NC during the inauguration of the Panthers, but how did the organization settle on a panther as our mascot?
  15. LOL!!! Seems like we have few Miller supporters! People who dislike the Miller pick think that he is a good prospect, but we just think Scoot is the BETTER prospect!
  16. Ok, my point is that the Hornets fail to identify these great college players that actually succeed in the NBA. All hornets have ever drafted are successful NCAA players that busted! I lack trust in this organization and they have yet to prove me wrong.
  17. I've grown to never trust Jordan with managment decisions. He thinks these kids ball out in college and can do it in the NBA. Honestly, I expected Jordan to make the dumb decision, not surprised. I'm glad he is selling the team, too bad he is still a minority owner.
  18. Adam Morrison, Frank Kaminsky, MKG did well in NCAA but they busted out. Miller has talent but I just think Scoot has more potential and less bust factor. I don't trust that Miller will work harder than Scoot, if you listen to the reports Scoot has already made millions and remains hard working. Miller has made questionable decisions off the field.
  19. Don't know much about these 2 new owners but anything has to be better than MJ right? Was Charlotte really that desperate to have an NBA franchise back just to be mediocre or a trash organization since Bobcats days? Tepper shoulda just bought the Hornets too. At least I know he cares.
  20. There's nothing wrong with easing someone in to their new role. Some parents choose to start off with training wheels when riding a bike, some parent's go straight to the bike with no training wheels. Every kid has a different learning aptitude and potential. Some kids might need the training wheels, some kids might not. It's your job as a parent/coach to recognize the kind of help your kid needs and adjust accordingly.
  21. Andy Dalton advice to Bryce "Do as I say and not as I do."
  22. If Bryce Young can make Derek look this good, imagine what he'll make our other WR look like!
