  1. Overall, I think the Panthers hit my personal expectations. All I asked for was... - Bryce to shows signs of progress and look like a legit franchise QB, which he has done. -Score points and make it competitive, Bryce's rookie season was terrible to watch. We were just hoping for 1st downs. Even though we complain of this historically poor defense, at least we kept watching knowing that Bryce might lead a TD drive. -5-12 record was reasonable. -Defense was surprisingly bad, I knew that we lost talent and weren't going to be a very good unit, but damn, to give up the most points in NFL history is just terrible. I feel like we finally are trending in the right direction after so many years of restarting, but we still have a long ways to go. Prediction for next year is to at least finish with a winning record 9-8 or better.
  2. If I was Dalton, I would resign to be a backup and hold a clipboard. Dude is collecting checks telling Bryce that he is doing a good job and practicing football M-F, who wouldn't want that dream job?
  3. I think it's also HOW this win occurred mattered a lot. Having a 5 TD game by Bryce, winning in OT, and winning on the road (which panthers haven't done in a while) matter more than 2 draft spots. It'd be different if it was just a field goals game and a low scoring game with Bryce looking poorly, then I'd had wish that we would lose instead.
  4. Jordan Gross, CMC, Horn were all #8 picks. We can definitely still get a difference maker. Mock draft season is finally here!
  5. Any rumors about the Panthers? Tomorrow's Monday will be quite interesting. I do believe Evero will be allowed to interview for other teams or even fired.
  6. Bryce is just giving everyone a sneak peek at next year.
  7. I ANTICIPATED it like Bryce does with his passes! I will be featured on the QB school with JT O’Sullivan.
  8. Just took a look at other games, Jacksonville is tied, pats winning. Maybe we should lose? Bryce throws another TD and then you sit him.
  9. I think Bryce will score another TD, calling it now! Make it a 5 TD game. Win or lose, I’m already pleased with this game.
  10. Will this be Bryce’s 4 TD game that all the stats guys are waiting for?
  11. Dude, do we even have anymore practice squad defensive linemen left to play with all of these injuries?
  12. This team just needs the defense to get one or two stops to give the offense a chance. I’m optimistic for the offense moving forward
  13. No,‘our defense just makes every qb look like a hall of famer!
  14. lol, that’s how you know you lack dawgs on the defense. They run the same play again testing you and you still get beat! This defense needs a complete overhaul.
  15. So technically, if panthers win, we knock ATL out. If we lose, we can still knock out Buccs. We are playing spoilers no matter what!
  16. Right on cue for the defense to let them back in! Let’s get another good drive in Bryce!
  17. Best case scenario is that the offense balls out but the defense loses the game, we maintain draft position. We all know this defense isn’t going to be here next year, but the offense will be.
  18. Everyone on defense except for Horn and Brown. Even the entire defensive staff is let go.
  19. I think we saw his value this past Sunday against the Bucs, Mayfield torched us for 5 TDs without him. We always critique our own players but when they are gone or injured, it definitely shows on the field. This is why we have such a depleted roster, we don't keep the talent that we do have. Some huddlers critique giving Chuba that contract but look how our offense stalled without him.
  20. I think you have to compare the pass rushers to the weight of the O-line, average O-linemen is 300+ lbs. An OLB at 270 is going to have a hard time not being mauled by someone 30+ lbs heavier than you, that's just physics. Peppers being a freak of nature is my point, these type of players don't come around often. Abdul Carter is 251 lbs, he's got speed but will he hold up against the run? Burns had all the athleticism in the world but we all knew he couldn't hold up against the run.
  21. a lot of these "elite pass rushers" coming out of college are really undersized now. Their weights are in the 250-270s, it's hard for them to hold up against the run. They don't make Julius Peppers prospects like they used to. I think the game has transitioned to more speed than strength. I think there is more scheme versatility in 3-4. Regardless, you just need playmakers period!
