  1. Wilks has gotten his players to "commit like a pig, and not like the chicken." If anyone read that Cam Newton article about commitment, you'll get the reference. It's all about guys believing in you and giving you everything you have. This is an offensive league but if he can find someone to game plan offensively and find a franchise QB, I'm down with it. There are some good former HC that are just better at being offensive coordinators. Look what Robert Saleh is doing with the Jets and their qb situation, similar with the Lions.
  2. "Rhule's wife just texted me her meatball recipe"
  3. I am worried that if the Panthers continue to play themselves out of top 5 but remain top 10, Levis is going to be strongly considered given the value. I don't know any other players we would pick outside of Young, Anderson Jr, Stroud, Carter. Talent seems to fall off dramatically after those 4.
  4. Urban Meyer as a HC is pretty bad, Rhule has now sunken to Urban Meyer level bad!
  5. That's a legit concern too, it would take a bounty to move up to #2 spot though.
  6. I haven't paid any attention to the Hornets this year after announcing that we resigned Steve Clifford. By the record it looks like the usual dumb FO decisions the Hornets make. Also, missing Bridges has really hurt this team. This team just took a step back, this is similar to Rhule hire.
  7. Stroud would be my choice if Texans take Young. At this point, even if we did win a game or two and not have the #2 overall pick, I think we would still have a chance at him as long as we pick in the top 5. The teams right behind us, Pittsburgh, Bears, Broncos don't need a QB.
  8. But an article just recently said that Levis is a better prospect than Young or Stroud because he played with less talent around him (sarcasm)! Lance and Wilson had the "tools" to succeed but they also didn't lead their programs to bowl wins/championships. At least Young, Stroud, Fields have played meaningful high stakes games in their collegiate careers.
  9. I like that coach Wilks is holding his players accountable for their play on the field when we as the fans can also see the poor execution. Players have always said that they want an honest and upfront coach, not to be pampered. Wilks will tell you how it is! Would you guys as fans want coach Wilks to say that they are putting in good practices and players are getting better, believe in the Process (ala Rhule)? These are grown ass men playing a physical contact sport, don't get butt hurt if your coach says you're playing like sh*t.
  10. There is also a reason why the author is a "former" pro personnel executive..... bad evaluations lol
  11. It's a dumb assessment that he is playing poorly because he has inferior talent around him. Well, any QB with all world talent will play poorly in the NFL with a poor cast too. Look at Aaron Rodgers this year. Bryce Young and Stroud succeeding in their system shouldn't be a knock on them, they are doing what they are supposed to do with what they have = winning. We don't knock Mahomes for having Kelce and Hill, Allen and Diggs, Rodgers and Adams, why should having good talent around you be a negative? Teams should surround their QB with good talent.
  12. These kind of reports/assessments is what scares me about a prospect. Granted Josh Allen is the anomaly and improved his accuracy but Darnold had turnover issues at USC and it followed him to the NFL. I'd rather choose a prospect who is consistently accurate and work with them than someone who has shown "flashes"
  13. Adding Anderson or even Jalen Carter from GA would do wonders for Brown and Burns if we miss out on the Stroud and Young. I think worst thing Panthers can do is win enough games to pick out of top 5. I don't think we can go wrong with Young, Stroud, Anderson, Carter.
  14. No thanks to Levis, what makes him so much of a better prospect than Mayfield and Darnold when they came out? I don't doubt that he has the physical tools but he hasn't won the tough games and looked exposed against TN. I would much rather pick Will Anderson.
  15. Watching how the Eagles support and make things easy for Jalen Hurts is what Rhule was supposed to do. The Eagles staff supports Hurts with scheming easy throws for him, surrounding him with good WR talent, run the ball so he doesn't have to wing it 40+ times. Running the ball is vital to a mediocre QB's success. I don't think it's a coincidence that the Panthers have played better offensively the past 2 weeks because we established the run so PJ doesn't have to win the game.
  16. Hindsight is 20/20 about these prospects that you mentioned. Everyone of your mentioned QBs as prospect had a chance of being a bust during their respective draft class. Selecting BPA and ignoring QB when it's a desperate need is not a good idea. Take a chance on a QB prospect with potential, trust your scouts (that's what they do for a living), have a plan to groom and support him = fastest way to a turnaround. Look at Tua, he was considered a bust. But look at the new coaching overhaul and surrounding him with WR talent and the Dolphins look like a playoff team.
  17. The only thing that this chart tells me is that the current superstar QBs in todays game were picked in the 1st round, some of them may not have been top 5 picks but still in the first round. The right player with the right coaching/organization fit is huge, look at Josh Allen and Lamar. These guys were so raw, some even saw Lamar as a RB, coaching now a days needs to adapt to the player not the other way around.
  18. People on here really think PJ is the answer? Then why the hell didn't we just start him week one and decided to trade assets for Mayfield and Darnold? Watch PJ make one incomplete pass this week and the Huddle will ask for him to be benched! lol
  19. Tough question. He is the top MLB in the league right now and he his play on the field supports him being paid that way. The value of a top notch MLB is the real question. I do miss the days of Luke, Beason, and Morgan, LB is a position of need for us too. I just don't think we can afford his contract, but I do think he is worth a 2nd and 5th round pick.
  20. Playing "big" is an attitude, yeah physical measurements help but how many times have Steve Smith come down with the ball in 1v1 situations. If you want it, go get it! Kelvin Benjamin was huge but played small.
  21. I know everyone is clamoring for an offensive minded head coach, however that doesn't guarantee success. Look at the Raiders, McDaniels is supposed to be one of the brightest offensive minds and look how that turned out. Hackett with Denver is also another example. I think there are some really great offensive coordinators that are just meant to be OC and not HC. Wilks seems to have this team playing hard and motivated more than Rhule could ever have, he is also handcuffed to McAdoo by Rhule. With McAdoo we've managed to put up 20+ points the last two games with PJ at QB. If Wilks can bring in a good OC then it's not all lost. Sean McDermott is defensive minded but has good OC in Daboll and Dorsey, their offense hasn't missed a beat.
  22. The only positive I've noticed is that this team has played a lot better under Wilks. We are at least competitive and players are playing hard for Wilks (except for Pinero). PJ played hard but without Foreman's 3 TD performance we wouldn't even be in this game. Continue the tank.
  23. Pinero with the diamond earrings, take that crap off. You ain't gangsta!
