  1. We could get him in the 3rd or 4th in a mock draft. If we want him we’ll grab him in the 2nd.
  2. Trade Teddy straight up with Minshew.
  3. Where’d you read that? I’d be happy with Minshew for the record.
  4. I hope we’re not done. You have the need listed in the proper order.
  5. That’s Kellen Mond speed and he was considered the number one duel threat an coming out of high school and everything I read about him is how mobile and athletic he is.
  6. I’m thinking Sam Darnold but with the choices listed I’d go with Teddy.
  7. Let’s hope Fitterer and Rhule know that. Throw in Mr. Tepper as well if he is actually involved in football decisions.
  8. For all we know his agent or the Texans are the “source” claiming teams like us want him. Or we’ll take him but at a lower price.
  9. Yeah, I’m a newbie obviously. The good news is if he’s put on the exempt list or paid leave you probably won’t see any more threads about him.
  10. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/03/22/will-nfl-place-deshaun-watson-on-paid-leave/ With each additional allegation against Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, it becomes more and more difficult to downplay or explain away the situation. Thirteen women and counting have accused Watson of sexual assault during massages. More may soon file suit. It’s becoming a more and more significant distraction for the league, the Texans, and Watson — especially since Watson’s team has done hardly anything to push back against these charges. And so the question becomes whether the NFL eventually will push Watson out. Out of the league, until all cases are resolved. At some point, the sheer volume of the allegations overpowers the situation. With 13 cases filed and up to nine more expected, will the NFL exercise its broad power to place Watson on the Commissioner-Exempt list? That would have significant consequences for Watson, and for the Texans. Watson would be barred from practicing or playing. The Texans, however, would be required to pay Watson his salary — more than $10 million in 2021. The question then would become whether the Texans would simply cut Watson to avoid owing him salary that he wouldn’t be allowed to earn. The mere possibility of paid leave turns the entire relationship between player and team on its head. Before last Tuesday, Watson wanted nothing to do with the Texans. Now, remaining on the Texans could be Watson’s only path to getting paid in 2021. If the Texans were to cut him, would anyone sign him? Maybe a team would roll the dice on the possibility that, eventually, it will have a franchise quarterback on the roster. When will that be, however, and what will be the cost? Beyond the financial expenditure, signing Watson at this point will create a major P.R. hit, unless and until Watson’s P.R. team finds a way to counter the damage that has been done to his overall image in just six days. With each passing day, it’s getting worse instead of better. At some point, it could get so bad that Watson won’t be on the field until all of these claims are behind him, and until he has served whatever suspension the league decides to impose.
  11. What do you consider significant? I’d be cool with us using our first round pick on a LT, second rounder on a corner and shipping our third rounder to Jacksonville for Minshew. If only Marty had picked him instead of Grier.
  12. I agree with you but think he might have even more upside. Just looking at what Joe Brady did for Joe Burrow, why couldn’t he do the same for Minshew?
  13. I think your spot on but Minshew’s TD/Interception ratio looks pretty good for a gunslinger. He has great touch and accuracy and is pretty athletic.
  14. He is on a rookie contract but if someone threw a third round pick I guess you’re saying it’s not worth it to them to bite.
  15. Minshew is much better than Teddy. Teddy is afraid to push the ball downfield. Minshew has a pair that clank.
  16. Any chance for Minshew? I like your first four but I’d rather have Minshew over Trubisky.
  17. I thought he wanted to move on from Teddy because he’s a pussy and afraid to push the ball downfield. If you need a yard, Teddy will get you two. If you need eight yards, Teddy will get you two.
  18. He's the polar opposite of Teddy as far as pushing the ball down the field. He's got great touch, he's an above average athlete and has a great attitude. No way Minshew's blaming a failed play on the coaches not getting him the play call soon enough. The Jaguars didn't want him playing the end of last season because they were worried he'd win some games and screw up their draft position.
  19. Gardner Minshew people. If we're going dumpster diving he's our guy.
  20. trade a mid round pick for Garner Minshew would've been my choice.
