Round 5 (b) - pick 22 - Keith Taylor DB from Washington
Newbie replied to Jackofalltrades's topic in Carolina Panthers
Did anyone watch Taylor the week of Senior Bowl? We’re not putting him on the practice squad. Don’t be surprised if we start him outside and move DJax to the slot. -
The David Moore currently on our team won’t make the roster. The Jets drafted two Michael Carter’s today. The rb from UNC looked pretty damn good this year.
-
I’m counting him as next years second.
-
I saw that and this is the best draft I ever remember us having. We’re picking guys on day 3 who have a shot at starting.
-
We should pick David Moore or Trey Smith with one of our last two picks. For the record, I loved that Keith Taylor and have no idea why people are complaining about him.
-
Keith Taylor was projected as a 4th or 5th rounder on ever mock draft site is use.
-
I wish they would tell us what we got out of the trade.

Don’t look now, but this D accumulating playmakers at each level

Or Trevon Moehrig -
What is your first three round mock and why

I’d assume our team would look at CB, 3 technique DT and maybe even a QB with the rest of our draft. -
You misread what I said. We’re picking up Darnold’s 5th year option. I seriously doubt we’re drafting Lance or Fields if they drop to us. https://www.google.com/amp/s/pantherswire.usatoday.com/2021/04/05/panthers-picking-up-sam-darnolds-fifth-year-option/amp/

Didn’t we pick up Darnold’s 5th year option? If that’s the case then drafting a QB in round 1 is highly unlikely.

All-offense draft incoming? Panthers Wire mock!

Fine with us not drafting a running back. -

I can understand why you’d be fine with us drafting a running back. I’d prefer Ian Book over Sam Ehlingerif we’re taking a late flier on a quarterback. -

I would be cool with this draft. I would swap Little for Dillon Radunz, Quinn Meinerz for Green, Keith Taylor for Palmer, Marvin Wilson for Herbert and Ben Mason for Ehlinger. That would be perfect in my book. -
Brandon Beane is one of the best GMs in the league. He needed to upgrade his backup qb and Fromm fell to the fifth round and Beane took a flier. He had an entire season to evaluate Fromm and decided to sign Mitch Trubisky to backup Josh Allen. I don’t give a chit about his little league baseball or Georgia politics. I do know it looks like Brandon Beane gave up on Fromm after one season.

Someone please lock this thread. The fact that it has had this many comments and is listed near the top of our forum makes all of us look ridiculous.

I love this team but I’ll burn all my gear and cheer for anyone else if we made that move.
-
Anyone willing to give up a first for Jimmy G is so stupid they shouldn’t be allowed to drive.
-
Kellen, is that you?
-
Thank you and I couldn’t agree more.

I would take that in a second. I still rock my Delhomme jersey on game days. Good Jake was clutch under pressure and trusted his teammates to make plays. He was fun to watch.
-
I like Teddy more than Trubisky and Minshew better than both of him. They’re some well informed hurdlers that’ve made the case that Minshew isn’t as good as guys like me think he is but I don’t think he was ever given an opportunity to succeed and he still exceeded expectations.
-
The tension would be the reason. Not necessarily between him and Trevor but possibly between the fans and management of Lawrence struggled early on. Having Minshew around could muddy the eaters and I would think it would be best to send him out of town and get some compensation for him.
