yeah he did. tom brady handles football like a business. he went to a team that was already good before him. game manager. i just wish other qbs looked at it like that.
-
yeah. and that could have been any qb. tom brady just happen to be on the patriots.
-
Yeah, tom brady is an iconic game manager. That's the reason belichick chose mac jones over fields, mac jones much like Tom Brady is very much game manager and that's what's needed for belichick's system.
-
mac jones only looks good. he is not, he is very much game manager. any qb would look good on the patriots, its very hard not to, mix that with the fact that they have a cupcake division, of course mac jones is going to the playoffs.

Dalton also is a check down king, which is why he lost his position in the first place. they know fields is a better player. their o line is possibly worse than carolina's. and they have no defense or pass rush and a coach who is not very good. why do people fail to use context when talking about justin fields? i don't why fields upsets people, but its weird. and yes, in the end 2 seasons from now fields will be the last one standing.

So does PJ start next week? Does anyone even care?
Tinamedina replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Both things can be true. Rivera was wrong for cutting heineke and rivera was right for choosing to stay the course and develop heineke. He could have pulled a matt rhule, bring in qbs and wasting time. -

it doesn't matter how heineke got there, hes there now. you and a lot of nfl fans have this puritan status quo mentality that says, a qb has to have this college background, and drafted this high or hes no good. that mentality no longer works in todays nfl. there are several situations similar to this that have people wondering if the first round pick even matters anymore. i dont think it does. -

first couple starts heineke throw at least 2 picks like every other game. and once again, heineke has had multiple 4th quarter opportunities, pj has not. you dont want to like him or give him a chance because of some irrational XFL dislike? fine. but tell the truth, the truth is pj should have been put in back in 2020 after that vikings game, teddy should have been benched, especially since they already knew they were gonna get rid of teddy.and once again, tell the truth you don't pj to have a career with the panthers, stop it. -
Cam Newton should be done as a starting QB in this league
Tinamedina replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
why surprised? this is what the fans wanted. rhule cares way too much about outside opinions, plus pressure from tepper, and thats why cam is here. they were too concern about a feel good story versus winning. had they just ran with the 2 qb system we beat washington and the dolphins. -

heineke has been playing 4 quarters since last season. so no, pj has not had more playing time. and yes, heineke was throwing more interceptions, but never did that stop rivera from playing him. rivera could have gotten another qb, he didn't. rhule needs to take a page from rivera. (never thought i'd say that). -

Tinamedina replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
how would anybody know? the only game he had with 4 quarters was detroit lol. and before you start, heineke also threw his fair share of interceptions, mainly because his arm isn't as strong as pj's. -

Tinamedina replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
yall don't know what pj is, cause carolina won't allow him to properly develop. properly developing a qb is not throwing in him in the line of fire at the 4th quarter with very little time, the team has given up and then having him play hero ball. outside of detroit and arizona, that's all we've seen thus far. washington didn't do that with heineke, they let him play multiple games since last season with an off season and everything and its paid off. -

meh, only way to know is carolina allows pj to develop the same washington did. because heineke is coming into his own, but make no mistake he didn't just start out that way for washington. -

a win is a win. and he clearly is a prime example of people not properly evaluating qbs. cause he was cut in favor of other guys and where are they? exactly. -

Tinamedina replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
and yall said that about taylor heineke. everything yall say about pj can easily be applied to taylor heineke. difference is, rivera allowed heineke to develop, make his mistakes and learn. rivera never put heineke in at the last minute and force him to play hero ball. and they both played for the XFL, not for nothing. and now, heineke is going to the playoffs. and before you say heineke is better than pj, he's not. pj has a much stronger arm. this organization is impatient, and they don't want to develop anybody. -

yeah you can, there are quarterbacks right now, winning and only throwing 1 touchdown here, 2 touch downs there. see, i will never understand how pj walker got under yalls skin. -

they took him out and put cam in for a feel good story. but pj did get the 2 pt conversion. -

pj got down the field alot smoother. the offense runs smoother as well. yeah, thats what i said. -

Tinamedina replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
yall said that about taylor heineke. they both were in the XFL, same career, difference is washington allowed heineke to develop, allowed him to make mistakes and learn from them. and pj walker is the better player out of him and heineke. the panthers have not developed a qb since cam newton. they need to pull a washington, but they are not using common sense, they are just reaching and panicking. -

now if this was pj you wouldn't be this understanding or provide context, it would just be "see!? this is why he will never be a nfl player!" -
when you're on the field, theres always space to make plays, shaq didn't. look at chinn, he was a rookie and he was outplaying shaq last year, thats facts. luke did all the work and shaq mainly followed behind him. luke would literally be telling players where to go and what to do. i get it though, i don't think coaches played shaq to his strengths up until now.
-
basically.
-
to be honest, shaq thompson only had 1 elite year, and thats this year. wanting him to be traded was a fair assessment because up until now neither he nor donte was producing. donte got better and shaq, i believe the coaches are choosing to play him like he played in college : linebacker who plays like a safety. smart decision.
