A) To continue the shitstorm on Teddy and join the many that want to crap all over him B) Speak up your hopefulness of Darnold (I think many are hopeful) but do so for a QB that for the most part was equally as bad in general. I cannot send enough bags of poo to that team and mostly their fanbase! I wont state numbers and I have no concrete expectations. I just hope that if he is the starter (until TB is traded or ruled as a backup, there will be a competition and the better player will start) that he can learn and improve week by week. He might be a 3 year vet but really because of where he was, that situation and Covid messing everything up last year, a full reset and treating him like a rookie seems to be the best approach,

Pretty satisfied with this deal. I was ready to stand behind Teddy, but this kid is young and can be coached up. In 2019 rookie year ( pre-Covid) he wasn't all that bad. Dropped off in 2020 but due to Covid and all the limitations that placed I'm willing to put that year aside. Mostly I am glad we did not trade 3 firsts and CMC for Watson (god, what a scary thought some folks here insisted we do) or give up a lot to move up a few spots in the draft and take a gamble on a QB that may or may not pan out in the NFL. On that thought, we are doing the exact same thing with Darnold, but the buy in wasn't as steep to rol' the dice!

The questions seems to imply making a choice based on a QB that is NOT our franchise QB. Did I read this line right? Outside of getting a Mahomes or Watson or Rodgers type of QB which are considered franchise QBs. What type of QB would you prefer? I want our franchise QB to be a game manager. What does this mean? Essentially to me this means they have the football IQ, and ability to turn the dial up or down as the game dictates. Down 2 TD in the fourth? They can be a gunslinger. Up 1 TD in the fourth? They can make less dangerous yet accurate passes to move the sticks without turning the ball over. To me, a game manager can also be a gunslinger, but a gunslinger cannot transition to a game manager. Just my interpretation of the terms.

All the seemingly endless possibilities are too annoying and a bit of a waste to ponder upon. Whatever is going to happen will happen. Nothing any of us can do about it. At the end of the day, even if we roll with Teddy again I will support him and the team. But yeah..fug the Falcons!
