Some folks HERE were willing to give this year's first, 2022 first, 2023 first AND CMC in order to secure a disgruntled player from Houston that believes he should be a part of organizations upper management decisions. Those Dolphin fans are being modest!
-
It is what is it. A company paid trip to get away from the wife and family for a few days. Maybe look at a player we might make a run at but really...its just a good ass reason to get paid to get an often times needed break from family. Cheers to them!

Texans planned to trade Watson before lawsuits
Ready 2 Win replied to Ocpanthertew714's topic in Carolina Panthers
A lot of folks here feasting on crow. -
I think any decision at LT will depend on whom we get at QB. Once Gross retired the LT position (and line in general) seems to have been somewhat neglected because we had a "mobile" QB that was big and strong and could take some hits. I believe this allowed the team to justify shifting money to other positions. If we end up with another so called "mobile" QB, I would not expect any large FA moves at LT. I hope I am wrong on that. I am still bitter we did Cam like that.

Other than Mike Davis to the Falcons, I have no complaints. Kind of bummed we couldn't keep him on the team.
-
I was referencing him "complaining" about all the off season hype of him being gone ( as what this thread is about). For months we here have been calling for his head and calling him trash. As I said, i appreciate him taking this sort of post season criticism professionally. It should not be that hard to give another man a decent send off. He suited up and payed. He was paid what he was given. He did what he did. Not his fault Hurney paid him starter money for backup ability but we got through the season. Time to stop shitting on Teddy. He filled the gap this organization needed and chose.
-
I cheered for that guy. But, i am 100% full on this new regime. Toast to Obada. Enjoy that weather up there~
-
I feel bad for Teddy. I mean damn, he seems like a great enough guy. He did his best. He wasnt good enough but he showed up and didn't complain and even after all these months of fans saying he is trash, he kept himself quiet and took it. I for one salute you Teddy. May not have been a solution we needed but thanks for taking all of this with class. I guess when you get a big fat paycheck helps a lot, but there are many other divas in the league that would have made a huge stink of this situation.

Mike Davis Signs 2-Year Deal with the Falcons
Ready 2 Win replied to Greatman77's topic in Carolina Panthers
Pretty much how I feel. -
-
I will tell you how. I said it yesterday. The Texans themselves are hunting him! They want his stock to go down so he changes his tune and is grateful to be playing at all (and stop seeking trades) because if the league suspends him he wont get poo.
-
I want him on our team but... a - guy is disgruntled. I don't want a player who believes he should be a part of upper management decision making. Who is to say he would not do something similar here with our team if we didn't hire the people he believes we should hire? This is my biggest issue with the man. b - Not for 3 1st round picks. c- I would rather trade a first round pick and draft a QB with no baggage that we can groom to be the QB we want and need.
-
I would not be surprised if some good ol boys in the Texans organization initiated this whole thing in an effort to get Watson to just sit down. I mean, what better way to make him appreciate what he has now than to ruin the market for him and make him feel lucky to be playing in the league at all?

these allegations are the best thing that have happened to this franchise since we drafted Cam instead of Luck that literally everyone here thought was the next coming of Jesus!! Now folks have spent weeks doing the same. Licking the shaft of hype and a minimal play history to anoint dude the be all end all of our franchise...lol Yall were so fast to say fug Jr for doing racist mess. Where is the fug Watson for using his status to intimidate women? Nah..its ok cause he is a stud and can contribute.....so lets ignore all his baggage and give up 3 years worth of picks for! Literally what some of you folks are saying
-
For the life of me, i cant understand why so many people want a QB that A: is disgruntled with the team and demands a trade. B: Now has multiple lawsuits hanging over him that may prevent him from even playing a portion in 2021 at worst, or otherwise be a huge distraction at best. And after all of that...literally no draft picks of importance for the next 2-3 years on top of possibly losing 1 or two of our best players. Lets recap. 3 years worth of 1 or 2 round picks AND a buffet of our best players. All for a guy that basically points and says fug you team..im not gonna play! Trade me! And yall want that kind of personality here????? Boy of boy imagine the hate Cam would have gotten if he did the same.

Report: The Panthers are "locked on Watson"
Ready 2 Win replied to MVPccaffrey's topic in Carolina Panthers
We are never going to get Watson! The sooner people realize it, the sooner folks can go back to battle trying to post the next little tidbit your found on twitter to the forum faster than the others. We are not getting Watson. -
Former Panther Michael Oher creates app, Good Deeds
Ready 2 Win replied to TheRumGone's topic in Carolina Panthers
I can believe that as someone in the film and tv industry in another country. They come to us for a good story, and the end result is maybe 15-20% truth, and the rest not exactly false but exaggerations, set up scenarios for the cameras...etc. Hollywood is gonna Hollywood. You can live with it....or otherwise not be a part of it. -

I actually watched that movie based on his story. Cool news he is moving on and not just sitting around idling. -
Cheers to him.

Back in my youth my dad used to take me fishing at Morehead city. On the drive from Raleigh he would always stop at that flea market somewhere outside of Kinston. I distinctly remember a mofo there called " The Pie Man" The Pie Man was an older African American gentleman, and in the quiet country browsing of most...here was this man standing out front talking up all kinds of game about his pies and the shiny fork you would get with it when you bought one. Cheers to the pie man. I was a young boy and only cared about getting into my dads cigarettes and to Spy Hunter arcade game at the pier, but the man was my first introduction to marketing.

All day yes! Lets please not sell the farm to recruit a disgruntled player from Houston! -
Patriot fans seem excited that Cams back
Ready 2 Win replied to mrcompletely11's topic in Carolina Panthers
Cheers to Cam for that. Super happy he is still in the league doing what he does. -
Congrats to him. Its crazy to think just a few years ago we had a starting QB that was averaging 20m per year. Just over 5 years later and the market demands double.
