Team need of a position factors into the overall grade of the player I'm sure. I imagine that the grading system has to look similar to: System fit 25% Coachability/character 25% Past performance/tape/improvement 25% Athletic ability 15% Team need 10%

By no stretch am I excited in a bad way. Thank god we have a real GM that won't let one player hold the team hostage, unlike the previous manager. My "concern" is all the Panther bashing that will take place IF Dave doesn't give in to a ridiculous demand (not saying that will happen). So many Cam fans posing as Panther fans that it's absurd. You can see it already with the "pay that man" type comments. Luck will get the larger deal of rookie class of QBs and deservedly so. Cam should fall between keap/Wilson level and the Luck level

In general, do you think Dave should pretty much give in and meet Cam's demands? Assuming that his demands are elite level? I see so many fans that seem prepared to riot if Dave doesn't give in and pay him some contract he really isn't worth

If he took the ex. deal that I gave "from Dave", then his agent should be fired. Sounds awesome, but very poor deal

As long as everyone pays attention to part that matters most....guaranteed. Dave could offer him 5yr/200mil, only 5 mil guaranteed. Tampa could off 3yr/40mil, only 25mil guaranteed What's the better deal?

I am just as much of Cam fan as the rest around here but, HOLY POO, EITHER Y'ALL GOT AN INFLATED OPINION ON HOW MUCH QBs GET PAID OR HOW MUCH CAM IS REALLY WORTH! 50mil GUARANTEED puts him in A Rodgers/P.Manning/Tom Brady level.....he isn't at that level yet 20 mil a year puts him above Manning/Brees/etc level.....he isn't there yet! If it wasn't for Cam's ability to make something happen with his feet, then he wouldn't be close to the conversation about Elite QBs. Cam needs to take a contract that is on par with who he is, top 3 of mid-tier QBs. Rivers and Big Ben contracts would be a good place to start And if that doesn't work, then Dave needs to find a new QB

What if worst cases in that dept we cripple the team! Under talented #3 CB or #2 WR will only effect downs every once and awhile. Cap space needs to address repairing a weak pass rush before worries of NB's or #2 and #3 WR

CJ came alive and Ealy was picking the game up. Plus Frank spelled some at the end of the season! We didn't have a pass rush until last third of the season....hence why the CBs looked effective

You really believe Ealy is prepared to be an every down DE? Come on man! Luke going down hurts, but not a killer. Having no pass rush is a killer! CJ and KK are our current above average pass rushers....awful thin for a team that wins and loses on the pass rush! All season we needed a Hardy replacement, towards the end we found a fraction of what we had in 2013 and started winning! Coincidence?
