  1. ^^^ Panthers killing two birds with one stone.
  2. Everybody from the Water Boy to the League Commissioner are "Quietly keeping an eye on Watson". Just more unfounded rumors intended to attract eyeballs and fill the void that is the off season.
  3. Colts might be in the market for another season of Rivers.
  4. It is difficult to understand, so I hope Rhule and company have transformative powers when it comes to these linemen or we could be looking at another short lived QB experiment.
  5. Yikes! Is there such a thing as a Cowboys exorcism?
  6. Tepper could certainly do that without worrying about the cost, but I believe it would be at least a season too soon. Especially, for an owner that kept Rivera and Hurney around as long as he did. I see Rhule getting 3 seasons minimum before Tepper begins to get impatient. Darnold was a clearance aisle special in comparison to what some teams are willing to give up for a franchise QB. If Sam crashes and burns, Rhule will likely get at least one more bite of the apple before being dispatched by Dave.
  7. Well, I would have never expected what actually happened during this year's draft in a million years. Did anybody outside of Tepper, Fitterer and Rhule? Seemed like a pretty good draft, but I've thought so in the past and they've turned out to be pretty pathetic looking back after a year or two.
  8. Well, I wouldn't go that far, but I could understand why others might. I've got too many years already invested to jump ship in only the second season of a rebuild with new management.
  9. Could be right. Middling players with injury issues do raise some legit concerns. If Darnold goes down in flames due to poor Oline play, this year's draft selection/free agency acquisitions will come into questioned. However, I'm not writing off the line so soon. I'll need to wait and see what happens as the season progresses, since chemistry is a big part of any line's success or failure.
  10. We have to conclude Panthers viewed Horn providing better value. Would they have still picked Horn if Sewell was there at 8? Doesn't really matter, it is what it is. However, as things stand at the moment, Oline looks like it will be a priority for the 2022 draft.
  11. You have somehow found the goodness in a Dallas Cowboys fan? Quick, somebody put this guy up for sainthood! You are like the Mother Teresa of football fans.
  12. If Sewell were there and we hadn't picked him, I would have been disappointed. As it played out, I'm good with DB as the pick, it should be a game changer. There is still a chance that the Oline may hold up for the most part. Regardless of the outcome, I'm pretty sure what our priority will be next off season.
  13. Sometimes your backup QB isn't on the roster. This is one of those times.
  14. Hate to see someone so talented squander their opportunities like this. Hopefully, this isn't the end of a promising career, though it certainly looks that way.
  15. What sort of massage would Panthers signing Watson send to women?
  16. Way too many distracted car drivers for me to feel comfortable sharing a road with them on a bike. I don't like the odds of 200lbs. vs. 2tons. Even in my car, I pretty much treat nearby drivers as a potential threat/drive defensively. RIP Greg
  17. Gotta say, as a Panthers fan, either way, I like our chances.
  18. Last year's record tells me Panthers fans have no reason to take any game for granted on this year's schedule, including the Jets. If we lose, it will likely be more than just Darnold shouldering some blame.
  19. Painful to realize had we done nothing in free agency last year, we would have been in a much better situation today.
  20. That's precisely my point. After more than three months on the open market as a free agent in 2020, Cam agreed to an incentive laden contract in NE. It wasn't close to the long term "Franchise QB" level contract many fans had anticipated from Carolina earlier that same year. In Cam's own words, he wasn't the same player in 2020 that Panthers fans knew from years gone by: https://www.al.com/sports/2020/07/how-cam-newton-can-earn-645-million-in-incentives-from-the-patriots-in-2020.html Unfortunately, 2020 didn't help Newton's long term prospects. However, if Cam's shoulder has fully recovered, 2021 may finally be his comeback year. Time will tell. Regardless of outcome, this is no longer about Carolina.
