  1. Panthers need to be careful. All these bloated contracts for JAGs and underperformers might give somebody the impression that Rhule and Fitterer don't have a clue as to what they're doing.
  2. Yeah, giving Rhule and Fitterer 11 million more to spend is like flushing good money down a toilet.
  3. Year 3 and I see Rhule is still trying to get the old band back together.
  4. Partial ownership, more money than they've ever dreamed of, and a free hand to pick their staff and build the team. Point being, we should be looking for a thoroughbred champion, not some wet behind the ears yearling to lead this organization.
  5. I'd go after Kevin Colbert or possibly tempt Ozzie Newsome out of retirement. There are possibly others, but those two build physical, no nonsense teams that consistently win. Both are getting up there, but either one could end the madness we are experiencing ATM and get the Panthers heading in the right direction. That would make a world of difference. Just 3-4 years should be long enough to build out a competent staff with a winning culture.
  6. Overcomplicating his job as owner. Dave's got 16 Billion dollars and counting. He needs to find the smartest NFL executive alive, make the guy an offer he can't refuse, then get out of his way and watch the wins roll in.
  7. Why does it seem like Rhule's Panthers are always in a hurry to sign underperforming vets to inflated contracts?
  8. Watson finally including the Panthers in his wish list of teams is simply a variation of the old NFL Owner's "I Want a New Stadium or I'll Move to X City" ruse. This announcement improves the chances that Houston will get what they want, which in turn, gets Watson what he wants. Anybody that seriously believes Watson has gone through this prolonged, painful battle w/a dysfunctional Houston franchise, only to end up w/a dysfunctional Carolina franchise, is kidding themselves. TL/DR: If Watson has any desire left to win, he doesn't want to come to Carolina.
  9. Best Case Scenario for Panthers Roster (Next 5 Years): Deshaun Watson and 52 JAGs. No Picks/No Cap Worst Case Scenario for Panthers Roster (Next 5 Years): Deshaun Watson on IR and 53 JAGs. No Picks/No Cap
  10. More teams involved in the bidding process the more likely the stakes will be raised. The higher the stakes the more likely that Houston will give Watson what he wants, a trade. Surprised it took this long for Watson to figure this out. Guy is not too bright.
  11. David Tepper may be trying to save face by going with the status quo for one more season before coming to terms with the obvious, that Rhule was a bad hire. By doing so, he is only making matters worse, much worse.
  12. Another prime example of why it will take years for the Panthers to recover from Rhule's rule. The self-harm continues.
  13. I don't believe there is a long term Panthers fan out there that doesn't have an unusually high tolerance for mediocrity in comparison to your run of the mill fan. However, the David Tepper/Matt Rhule led Panthers can only aspire to someday reaching the lofty perch of mediocrity.
  14. Breaking News: Any top tier NFL QB that has options isn't coming to Carolina until there is a competent management/coaching staff in place. Surprisingly, top tier QBs would rather win than lose and don't enjoy being treated as human pinatas by an opponent's defense. Weird.
  15. Being an NFL owner is apparently too daunting a task for David Tepper, so I've made this easy to follow checklist to vastly improve the Carolina Panthers on field performance this season. Step 1: Fire Matt Rhule Step 2: See step one
  16. If someone had told me a few years ago that the Panthers would be considering bringing in an alleged pervert to be the face of the franchise I'd have laughed in their face. No way would the people of the Carolinas tolerate such an affront to their cultural values. I honestly don't believe David Tepper has ever taken a moment's worth of his time to try and understand the region where he owns an NFL franchise. He simply doesn't seem to get it. This isn't NY/NJ/LA.
