Of course Stafford wouldn't be the long term answer. He'd be the stop gap measure TB was intended to be for us. Focus on O linemen and a DB this draft.
-
New GM wants to upgrade QB/DB position and build out the lines. Picking up Stafford would allow us to do that and remain within budget without trading one of our better young players away. Win, win and win.

In the unlikely event that the Panthers had to choose between CMC and Watson, the choice, while not easy, should be clear. CMC is great as far as what he does goes, but Watson, as QB, takes this team to the next level.
-
As others have already stated, CMC is less attractive as trade bait now that he has been paid. Wonder if Tepper is now regretting the decision to pay him early?

Arthur Smith being mentioned as a possible Head Coach candidate for the Georgia (Atlanta) Falcons led me down this rabbit hole. The movie and song are classics. Thanks in part to local celebrity, Arthur Smith. He used to produce his Country Music Show in a studio on the corner of Monroe Road and N. Sharon Amity during the 1970s.

Will the U.S. heed Canada's Thanksgiving lesson? Canada's staring down a Covid surge that has been blamed on social gatherings. And as Americans contemplate their holiday plans, Canadians are desperately trying to save Christmas. https://www.politico.com/news/2020/11/22/us-canada-thanksgiving-lesson-438898
